I don’t want to create another thread, so here is my college football idea for the future.. Do with it what you want, but I think this is good for everyone.
———
League: 48 or 64 teams
Two Conferences: B1G & SEC
6 or 8 four team pods in each conference

11 Game Schedule
Play your Own Pod - 3
matchup with SEC Pod - 4
matchup with B1G Pod - 4

Everyone in your Pod would play the exact same 11 game schedule. Only difference would be the stadium.

Win Your Pod. Make the Playoffs.

Playoffs
12 or 16 Pod Winners
+4 WC if only 12 Pods

Payout: All teams share Media revenue equally

Players: All Players earn the same salary, regardless of team. All must attend school and will get a free education, free housing, free car lease, free food, etc. Perhaps add bonuses/incentives to stay in school. Graduates get $100,000 bonus. Award winners at the end of the season get bonuses. “Pod All Star Players” get a bonus.

Draft: Draft held in the Spring of each Year. Geographical Restrictions within X number of miles from their high school. You can block 6 teams that aren’t allowed to draft you within that region..

Transfer Draft: At the end of two years, you may enter the transfer draft. Each team will draft from these players.

No Free Agents. New players must wait until the next year to get drafted.

NIL - Players allowed to make unlimited money on their names..

Benefits: IMO - This saves and preserves the college game that we all love.

Similar rules for Baseball & Basketball.

Flame away.

Roll left may have won us the B12, but it extended Mackovic several years. I gladly celebrated, but it pushed our program back several years, by keeping Mackovic.
I did love James Brown though. Dude was a baller.

Well that also brought us Mack Brown.. and that was a win even though he only won 2 CC

PK, our new DC, is pretty good. He spent the last 7 years at UDub and held Kiffen to 17 offensive points in the 2016 playoffs. Sark was a GA at the time and liked what he did enough to hire him.

I am more excited about the Texas defense than I am the offense. It may take a few years, but I really like the Texas staff.

Just wait until yall host Georgia. They’re going to take over your stadium and you’re going to hate it.

On the same note, pretty much every time a big6 team comes to Austin I bet the streets will be full of visiting fans. So much money is going to be pumped into the economy there.

I think you have made some good points - except the ones I highlighted above. Any sort of regulated "draft" is a nonstarter.

Sounds like a good time to me.. especially when we kick their arse!

Yes, I think this is going to be good for everyone. Texas & OU both travel quite well to away games.. so all of those other towns will get good bumps too..
