Texas is a huge brand, one of the biggest and most important in the SEC. With that comes a lot of influence. I am sure the SEC deferred to them on some issues in scheduling. Texas is used to getting their way and that is not going to change just because they are now in the SEC.

It is what it is. I am sure most years their schedule will be similar to what it is this year. They did play Michigan and Oklahoma. Not their fault those two teams are down this year. They play Georgia so it can be a statement game for Texas in taking over the SEC.

But, Texas will run things here just like in every conference they have been a part of. This is what the SEC brought in.

Unfortunately for them, they now have at least one guaranteed loss to end the season against those FIGHTIN TEXAS AGGIES!

Aggies told us for 10 years that there was no such thing as an easy SEC schedule.
We come in and they're already going into full conspiracy mode, as they've always done.

I see a lot of defensive tu folk.

Their current SOS is 40th.

Here is the SP+ Ranking of Every SEC team with their opponents in black. You can clearly see they avoid a ton of tough opponents.

3. Alabama
4. Ole Miss
5. Georgia

9. Tennessee

12. Lsu
13. Missouri
14. Texas A&M

23. Kentucky
24. Auburn
25. Florida
26. Oklahoma

30. Arkansas

34. South Carolina

59. Vanderbilt

79. Mississippi St

tu avoids:
-3/4 top 10 teams
-5/7 top 15 teams

tu gets:
-2/2 outside top 50
-3/4 outside top 30
-6/7 bottom 7 SEC teams

You seem to be missing a team ranked No. 1... but I'm sure that has nothing to do with your jealousy of Texas or anything

But but but... muh SEC GRIND!!!!

Also, good for Tulane taking on all of those SEC teams this year!

Every single team in the conference plays 4 of these schools.

Alabama, Auburn
Georgia, Florida
LSU, A&M
Texas, Oklahoma

Every single team in the conference plays 4 of these schools.

Vanderbilt, Tennessee
Arkansas, Missouri
Kentucky, South Carolina
Miss State, Ole Miss

Right or wrong, that isn't something Texas decided.

I feel confident we requested 3 teams. OU, A&M & Ark.

Add 2 teams from the top.
Add 3 teams from the bottom.

I agree we probably should have played Tennessee or Ole Miss.. but it isn't as simple as just placing them on our schedule. Maybe both of those schools were already full when it was turn to place our schools.

Either way, we would be favored to beat both of those teams. Could they beat us? Sure.. but so can the every team we have remaining too.. Y'all just bitch to bitch..

But of all the teams to bitch, the team that plays a schedule almost identical to ours doesn't have a leg to stand on.

For your time..

You're using way too much common sense which is getting in the way of their whining conspiracy. You should know better

How did this happen?
In the preseason, our SOS ranked 14th out of 16 teams (ahead of OM & Mizzou). That’s primarily owing to the league offices wanting to keep as many traditional rivals as possible (RRS, UT-Aggies, Bama-LSU, TSIO, etc).

Your 2024 schedule tops 90% of your Big 12 schedules in the last decade. That doesn't mean you didn't get an extremely favorable schedule.

And this is the point. You seem very bothered by the fact people see the favorable schedule. Just enjoy it. A&M got one of its easiest schedules in a long long time this year. Sure, it's still more difficult than yours, but I am enjoying the reprieve.

I much look forward to the Texas vs A&M matchup this year.
Y'all should be playing every year.
It's good for football.

They are taught to say those things at buttplug camp their freshman year.

I have no doubt we'll play Oklahoma and the Ags every year. Probably Arkansas as well but there's no doubt we'll play the Ags every year. The animosity demands it.
I don't know if we'll beat them on the road this year but, if we do, I'm honestly worried about the mental well-being of some of the ags on this forum.

We play almost an identical schedule to LSU.

Both teams play
Oklahoma
A&M
Arkansas
Florida
Vanderbilt

Texas plays
Georgia, Kentucky & Miss State

LSU plays
Alabama, SC & Ole Miss

By calling out Texas here, you are also calling out LSU dumbass..

Good God, you're a moron.

Alabama is demonstrably better than Georgia.
SC is demonstrably way better than Kentucky.
Ole is way, way better than Ms State, who is the worst team in the conference.

Remove your head from your arse, fvckstick.

our brand is no bigger than Alabama's. I'd argue Bama is the biggest brand in college football right now. You seem to have survived that just fine. You'll be ok.

I don't really know how Tulane would play itself, but you said "here is every SEC team" and then omitted the No. 1 school

But I'm sure it's not because you're red-faced with jealousy or anything like that
quote:

Your 2024 schedule tops 90% of your Big 12 schedules in the last decade. That doesn't mean you didn't get an extremely favorable schedule
Then how come Texas had a tougher strength of schedule than all but 2 SEC schools last year? (one of which Texas beat by 10 on the road)
quote:

And this is the point. You seem very bothered by the fact people see the favorable schedule. Just enjoy it.
We're not bothered at all. We're Texas fans replying in a thread about Texas

Pretty sure most of us are laughing at how soft y'all are acting. Hell, you can't even say our name

Well of course it is. Like you said, teams can't play themselves. So Texas will just have to settle for playing their cultist little bro that they routinely beat instead

See? We can do it too

Not sure why a Missouri fan is chiming in... pretty sure your schedule is the weakest in the entire league

One is ranked 5th.. the other is ranked 7th..

I don't think you know what demonstrably means.

"in a way that is clearly apparent or capable of being logically proved."

Because they beat them at home?

Ok. I'll use that argument going forward for all other teams.

Vanderbilt is demonstrably better than Alabama
Kentucky is demonstrably better than Ole Miss

If you are going to troll, at least come up with something that isn't completely fricking demonstrably stupid.
