Looking at records since 1973 when scholarship limits were put into place and the field was somewhat evened is absolutely relevant to this discussion
Back in the swc before scholarship limits Texas’ 3rd team could beat most swc teams. They took players to keep them away from everyone else. I’m sure they weren’t the only ones, just look at the programs who were successful back then.
But the odd thing about it is they did less as far as championships than the successful programs.

Texas vs Vandy 3-8 Embarrassing but shouldn't take long to flip the script
Wouldn't be surprised to see this be 3-9 after this season

Would rather ride the bench than play for another school lol

Agreed. Looking at A&M’s history, being an all male military school was great prior to WW2. The 40s-60s wasn’t real good for recruiting football players into that environment. We became corps optional and allowed women to enroll just a few years prior to the scholly limit. It’s two different eras with two drastically different universities for us

So A&M's 1939 championship doesn't count then?

Has Tennessee and Texas ever played in football? Can’t remember any game between us during or before my lifetime off the top of my head

Seems I struck a nerve by talking about A&M’s past…
Talking about A&M is what you always do.
But I am proud of you. Shoving dildos up your boyfriends arse while simultaneously melting down over A&M shows that not every degree at tu goes to waste.

Your coeds drove hours away to a whorehouse to frick A&M cadets.
That’s the real reason we were terrible back then. Your women sucked us dry.
Wasn’t even a fair fight really.
Edited for source materials…

The Chicken Ranch was highly successful. In the 1950s, the Ranch employed sixteen prostitutes. On weekends there was often a line of men, mostly students or soldiers from nearby military bases, at the door. Students at Texas A&M University also made an unofficial tradition of sending freshmen to the Chicken Ranch for initiation.[1] The Chicken Ranch was preferred because many of the girls were allegedly University of Texas students.

Never said that championship didn’t count. I actually said that prior to WW2, being an all male military school wasn’t a detriment to football recruiting. Let me check history…yes, 1939 was prior to US involvement in WW2.

Sorry buttfricker. That’s what happens when you can’t please your women.

A very large portion of Texas’ wins against Arkansas were back in the days of leather helmets and 150 pound linemen.
In the modern era, the series was close and tight games.

The thing your are missing is this. You play one SEC every few years. Now you will have to play 9 of them each and every year. That’s going to tell you where you at. Trust me it’s going to shock your souls. This is not the big 12 where you play 2 tough games a year. It’s going to be a war every Saturday

Brother, you nailed it. In the SEC, on any given Saturday...occasionally a Thursday....you have the opportunity to get beat by any team in the conference.
Perhaps not Vandy at the moment.

Ole Miss beat Texas 39-7 in the 1958 Sugar Bowl and also beat Texas 44-23 in Austin in 2013. I don't care that the NCAA vacated the 2013 game. The Longhorns got boat raced on the field
