you don’t think the head coach would have any influence on player development?

Dark admitted in Destin that Tx spent $25M on its roster this year while denying the extra $15M the social media tried to add.

Don’t know but it’s less than $25M. Sark/Tx bought our 5* CB on signing day. How much did he cost? $2M?

Technically you guys bought him off us first, we just bought him back.

In the 10 days before last year’s signing day, we lost:
#1 5* Underwood ($12++M) to Mich,
#15 5* CB K Phillips ($2?M) to Utx, and
top 30 5* DL ($2M) to USC.
It’s not development imo. It’s $,$$$,$$$

Sark has been a HC for over a decade, at big (USC and Texas) and semi big (Washington) programs. Programs who had more resources than the others in their conferences.
All he has to show for it is a single Big 12 title

Don’t be an arse-hat. You obviously haven’t seen Sark’s career. Turned Washington around, and was good enough for Saban to hire him. Also had like 23-35 players drafted in the last 2 seasons.
Mack Brown had top 3 draft classes for years but underachieved and underdeveloped.
I’m not convinced that Sark is the “offensive genius” that some in the media make him out to be, but there’s no disputing that (a) he inherited a mess (b) has turned the program around and (c) is developing talent.

You’re asking someone whose sole responsibility on this site is to be an arse hat.. he does it to get a response, which is exactly what we all do, food for thought, yes, I sometimes entertain the clown as well..

I actually have a theory on this.. I think Sark has dumbed down his offense in order to eat more clock and keep his defense off the field.
If you go back and look at his first two years at Texas, his offense was a lot more powerful, even with Quinn at the helm.. and we had leads in almost every game, but we couldn’t run the ball and when we scored, we scored too quick.
So in my opinion, he is trying to learn how to win games and has dialed back the offense..
the other side of the coin is that Quinn sucked throwing the deep ball, which is a huge staple in Sark’s offense. So perhaps it’s a combination of both, either way the dudes won 25 games last two years so I feel like he’s doing something right..
He went 8-5 his second year, but didn’t lose one game by more than one score.. in fact the only game we’ve lost in three years that was more than that was when Georgia punched us in the mouth last year..
Well, I guess that’s not true.. the pick six at the end of the Ohio State game makes that one join the list as well.
2022-2024
8 losses by 38 pts (all within a score)
+ Georgia and OSU by 14 each
All but the 1st Georgia game last year were winnable. He is close.. but tbd if it continues this year.. lots of new people at new positions

Hahahaha….your post was ignorant and emotional; an attempt to gather energy behind a pathetic premise….so I gave it the time it deserved, none.
In terms of debating “academically”…I have 2 undergrad degrees in Physics and Chemical Engineering, and I have a Masters Degree in Physics. I have worked in Research and Development for 17 years, developing methods and materials you probably can’t pronounce….
I know it has sucked to be a Texas fan for the last 30 years, and now there is some slight success, albeit without any championships, and you are stomping your feet for everyone to agree that this underachieving program “really was tbis good” the entire time….sit down bitch and let me count my SEC and National Championships

You may be right. But the counter to that then is why couldn’t we run the ball? I know we lost our two best tailbacks, but our OL was supposed to be legit, and against the better teams they just couldn’t impose their will in the 4th quarter and run the ball. I know the sacks mess up the running stats but it was really inexplicable why too many times we just couldn’t run the damned thing.
And as Exhibit B there’s the infamous 1st and goal call… My biggest concern w Sark is that he has a tendency to overthink things rather than just be really good at some of the basics. If the schemes are too complicated (e.g. pulling a 300 lb tackle rather than just asking him to beat the crap out of the guy in front of him) it opens the door to too many points of failure. (And to be clear I get that sometimes you want to pull the tackle, but I just feel like with our crew we should’ve been able to run the ball a lot better, and I blame scheme which affects mentality).

When it works
You’re called a genius
When it doesn’t
You’re called an idiot
Sometimes it works
Sometimes it doesn’t
Next time
run it up the middle,
until you can’t
cause even if it fails,
you’ve still got a chance
Oh you’ve still got a chance

Yeah, I don’t know why did that but it sounded like a song so I went with it
