No doubt: 4 losing seasons in the last decade, a coach who has yet to win more than 9 games in a single season, and a commie-cesspool of a city overrun by homeless people are all definitely big attractions. Who wouldnt want to be part of that!
I mean... a lot of kids. They've recruited in the top 5 more often than not. I'm not saying that's because Texas has been playing for championships, but clearly the school, setting and coach have to have something to do with that

Also, despite what you read on texags, Austin is not "overrun by homeless people". It's a problem, no doubt, but not nearly the issue people try to prop it up to be. Meanwhile, the Dixie Chicken is literally the nicest establishment that exists in your college town

You’re right, x wing. Texas has more top 10 classes than winning seasons in the last 10 years

Texas a&m had more 5-stars committed this year than they've had 10-win seasons... in the last 35 years

Xwing. My man. You've been handing out arse whippings all week and putting the aggys in their place. Thank you for your service. Carry on.

You could say that about most programs. That’s what happens when you sign so many 5 stars.

The idea that A&M is the big spender is laughable considering what else is happening.

What are all the NIL payments the t-sips have rolled out?

Lamborghini for Bijan Robinson

OL get $50,000 - whoever the name of that pancake program is

How much for Quinn Ewers?

How much for the transfer portal guys?

no. Alabama has signed more 5 stars than any team in the nation, but still has more 10 win seasons in the last 10 years (14 years for that matter) than any team has signed 5 star players in any one season.

I don't think there is another team other than Clemson in the top 10 of last years recruiting class rankings that you would have to go back 36 years to find 8 10-win seasons. And A&M, despite being one of those that would necessitate going back 36 years, signed the greatest class ever?

Yea, like I said, I'm sure it's because of beautiful, happening college station and the immense championship pedigree as to why the kids are committing to A&M.

It's been 21 years since aggy finished with a conference record above .500 in back to back seasons. At 4-4 last year, they'll extend that impressive streak again this season.

Aggy has only won 57% of their SEC games. Hilariously, that's a higher winning percentage than they had in either the Big 12 or SWC.

So much junked talked by such a mediocre program.

So if A&M is paying players, and Texas is paying players, why don’t more end up in Austin?

Good question since Austin is a more desirable place

The same reason they're not ending up at Alabama and Georgia, the two teams that played for the national title: a&m is paying much more and in a much more suspect manner.

Also, it looks like Texas is ending up with some good players. Quinn Ewers was a former 1.000 prospect on 247 currently on campus, and Arch Manning, who also is held in the same regard on 247, has Texas as one of his finalists.

And the proof of that is... where?

There's currently a thread with over 160 replies on the first page with aggies crying about there being no proof of paying players. So your accusation here is... ironic.

Bama: we'll give you $80k
UGA: we'll give you $85k
UT: we'll give you $87k
Bama: we can up it to $90k
UGA: how about we give you $92k
UT: $90k is our best offer
aggy: sign here and we'll give you $250k

It's the same reason rubes are happy to contribute to Stacked even though TexAgs keeps a minimum 25% admin fee, inferiority complex.
