Nobody at Texas seems to care about football. Worse crowd than Mizzou for their big recruiting weekend. Also cannot help to have the recruits laughing at your team on Instagram

As much as I hate Texas, they're a sleeping giant and its just a matter of time before they're awakened.

I recently moved to DFW and it's quite obvious that Texas UT is king of Texas college sports in this state and it's not even close. A&M is definitely little brother, I've seen it first hand.

When Texas gets into the SEC, many of those east Texas recruits will start switching from A&M to UT, you'll see. OU will continue holding strong in DFW but Texas will venture into East Texas more.

Yeah I don't think joining immediately is the answer, 2023 at the very earliest. Hell, 2025 is sounding better every day.

It would be very sip-like to choose when they join based on their talent level.

Should have kept Kissing Herman. He was actually winning games, but Texas thought they were better.

They paid Tom Herman $15 million to go away so that they could pay $34 million to hire a guy with the nickname “Seven Win Steve” who has a worse track record as a head coach.

It wasn't just the wins/losses that got Herman fired. He was going off the deep end in his personal life.

Everyone acts like our recruiting has been great but it has been mediocre at best.

The shorthorns are losing to big 12 teams with much less talent. That's a big problem.

Arkansas, Iowa State, and Kansas quickly come to mind.

This.

The “we’re not that talented” and “it’s only year 1 for Sark” excuses go right out the window when you’re talking about Kansas.

1. Texas could get the SMU penalty and would still have more talent than Kansas.
2. Not only is Lance Leipold also in his first season, but he was hired by Kansas on APRIL 30TH, meaning he didn’t even get to recruit his first class or have spring practice.

Charlie wasn't a butterfly. He just wasn't ready / couldn't handle the politics.

Texas has really been in position to dominate in the Big 12 for so long with all of this already in place, so what does the SEC bring for a high-level program that they can't already do right now?

Well better games for one....more money for another....they would be in the cellar of the SEC right now and will be a permanent fixture if they don't get their act together....so maybe they will start to figure it out.

Texas has had big-time support for a long time. What is the SEC really going to change for them, that they can't already do to get better? Recruiting?

Texas is an embarrassment and I get your point, but they will surpass A&M within 3-5 seasons and become competitive the SEC. Iron sharpens iron and they will leverage those quite frankly unmatched resources when they start getting clowned even harder in their new conference, this time with their little brother in the room. The boosters simply won't tolerate that.

Pretty sure you don't make hundreds of millions of dollars giving a shite about gender studies. An unemployed troll wouldn't know anything about that though.
