To think this all started because Texas had the audacity to suggest that if Guns Down at a Tech game is taunting then Horns Down should be taunting as well. Then aggy spun it into their folklore, and all you SEC idiots swallowed aggy's bullshite whole, and here we are today.

For those of us that never got into anything Texas, one way or another, what the heck is offensive about "horns down?"
Is it tantamount to shooting a bird to them?
I assume they do get their nighties in a knot about it.
I can see this is going to go over really big when they come into the SEC.
Texas people, start growing some thicker skin.

Im a fan of horns down, I think its great for the sport. just wish other other schools had badass hand signs like UT to reciprocate.

Jesus Christ if the refs call a penalty on an SEC team for horns down, that ref better have armor guards to escort them (for the last time) out of the stadium
How long do you think those SEC refs would be used at any SEC game? The SEC coaches would blackball them.

Not one damn thing. It's been around since at least the 60s and no one ever gave a frick. Then one Saturday back in the early aughts one of our guys scored against Tech, did a Guns Down sign, and got flagged for taunting.
Our admin asked the league why Guns Down is taunting if Horns Down is not. Aggy's spin took care of the rest.
