If “really good” means winning 10 games in the big 12 which is now an absolute joke then yeah that could certainly happen. I don’t think they’d do better than .500 in SEC play, west or east.
Texas a&m had a worse winning percentage in the Big 12 than they did in the SEC. And that's including their dead last finish in the SEC in 2022

That’s because A&M was atrocious for their last decade in the Big 12, which was also a better conference back then.

Totally irrelevant, but leave it to Xwing to bring up stats from 12+ years ago when we are talking about next season.

Which conference is better top to bottom in 2023, SEC or Big 12?

Bet Texas beats bama this year. Hope not but who is Bama qb? And it’s easy to get the team up for one game. Texas almost beat 19 lsu too and still couldn’t win their conference. They circled that game obviously just like they are circling the Bama game. And Texas has talent on the roster. So this year I predict Texas to win the Bama game and still find a way to lose the big 12.

To add to that, after Texas beats bama, we will hear how ready they are for the SEC just to come next year and get ram rodded on an almost weekly basis

Probably. Big 12 refs aren't going to let us win close games late in the year, especially if we're in the hunt for the Big 12 championship game. We will have to blow teams out, which means Ewers has to take a huge step forward. I'll believe it when I see it.

"Oh yea... well... we were only bad because our program sucked! So take THAT!!"

That cannot seriously be your comeback to that

Don't really know who that is, but leave it to an aggie to be complain about comparing the Big 12 and SEC... when they were originally comparing the Big 12 and the SEC.

Seriously - will y'all ever not make this incredibly easy?

So Texas is going to win on the road against Alabama (something Arkansas has not done in 20 years) and then immediately not be ready for SEC play the next year, which will include easier opponents than Alabama, half of which will be at home?

Explain how that logic works if you can...

Imagine not having a credible point to respond so you just aimlessly claim some poster is also somebody else you don't like.

Here's your answer: you're full of shite. You're saying that the Big 12 was better when a&m was in it? So when a&m was 3-6 in the big 12 their last year, it was a better league than the SEC was in 2012?

You are the one acting like a special needs baby. You seem to not be able to grasp simple ideas. I expect nothing more from a longhorn t shirt fan.

The Big 12 was much better from 2000-2011 than it was 2012-present.

A&M was a much better team in 2012 than 2011. That’s not that difficult to understand. One team’s record does not reflect the strength of either conference as a whole.

Don't worry, we won't.

This is the kind of dejection I like to see.

Man, that was a complete takedown.

But you know you’re arguing with the black knight from Monty Python who is still talking shite even after his arms and legs have been cut off.

I'm just glad we didn't have to wait until 2003 to win a national title game. Oof.

if you don't know Sark can coach, I feel sorry for LSU. They will get talent and be very successful

I wouldn't go that far, but I am VERY interested to see how OU/TX find a place in this league.

It'll be above aggy and below auburn.

So, middle of the pack and always a step away from dumpster fire.

I think Texas will be fine and they will be back soon as a top tier of SEC program. Now whether they win championships or not who knows but think they will have more success that A&M. A program like theirs doesn’t stay down forever. Now Oklahoma on the other hand I can see struggling and slipping to a regular 7-5 squad potentially
