I was raised on old-school coaches, and 100% endorse this approach when necessary.
At that level there is a lot at stake, including his career (and probably theirs).
If some of those players do think what he's saying is a joke, and wanna go as a result, get in the motherfricker.

I didn't imagine the shorthorns slopping around like this at 4-5. Whatever the coaches are saying, it hopefully gets said first in the dressing room. But either way, the players don't seem all that interested in listening. Wasn't this the same problem Herman was having?
