Why does some Yankee who plays nobody get to talk down on Florida? Florida played Texas, Miami, A&M, Georgia, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Kentucky, South Florida, etc. When’s the last time a Big10 team lined up against anything like that?

Well we beat the number 6 team on the road

While you lost to the number 3 team

Your point is stupid and has nothing to do with my team's schedule.

My beef isn’t with atm. You schedule quality blue blood and won.

Your conference schedule is bad but you can’t help that.

My beef is with the committee rewarding teams for playing no one in ooc and not putting more emphasis on top 15 wins. The go loss is a bad mark we all agree. But is it too bad to ignore 3 top 15 wins is the question.

Sarge too bad we didn’t get that beer at tailgate before the atm game, would have happily debated with you

The issue is that Texas lost to a 4-8 Florida team. That's a terrible, terrible loss. If they had won that game, they'd be firmly in the playoff. That loss is basically disqualifying.

It would be if your team was good this year. If auburn was sitting at 10-2 with a terrible ooc that’s part of the problem with college football.

Rewarding teams for playing nobodies

Last year Texas played one ranked team in the regular season and lost to them. Did that Texas team deserve to go to the playoffs?

I don't know, but if that's the metric he's using then Ole Miss, Indiana, Ohio St all have "top 5 wins" which would defeat the purpose of the OP.

Nothing to do with OOC games. Lost in this argument (and every other Texas fans argument, conveniently) is the fact that you all needed OT to beat two scrubs. You all think everyone didn’t notice? Have fun at the Alamo Bowl.

Could be a fair point.

We best 7 asu and 14 Clemson but only after we got in the playoffs.

Issue with last year is we are this years atm (minus Michigan being above average and nd being good).

Our losses in the regular season were to only uga and we went into the conf title as 11-1. So no a one loss sec team would never be left out period.

Beat. On the road. Was told the sec was hard to top bottom especially on the road. Is that no longer the case?

Texas has looked like dog shite for half the year …. You have great wins but bad losses two of the worst. UGA 25 point loss is really bad . Florida loss is horrible .You won’t even be close to making the playoffs maybe rise to 13

They certainly noticed that FSU blowout, that’s got to be one of the worst losses of any playoff team ever outside of NIU. Everyone noticed yall out gaining OU by 200 yards and losing. I watched a handful of close games vs Missouri, South Carolina, and Auburn.

The argument in this post is that quality wins should be more important than record. Using that logic, it seems like 2024 Texas wouldn’t have made the playoffs.
