I'll be there. I have a feeling it's going to go a little differently

Yeah, it's sad a bunch of Texas state Senators sound like a bunch of message board fanboys in this hearing.
They want to get Texas to stay by talking trash to the President of the University of Texas about Texas's records.. Nice strategy...Good luck paying the Bills kids in your new economy apartment wherever that is..
Exactly this. I’m obviously not that familiar with the players in TX state politics but reading those whiney, false-bravado quotes it was just so obviously “so which bitch arse school did you go to? Baylor? TCU?”

Yep, that is Texas politics for you. This is the same sort of nonsense that got Baylor that sits in backwoods Waco, Texas; instead of, TCU into the Big 12 to begin with. TCU is in the DFW metro and would have been a much better option, but Ann Richards, a high ranking politician at the time went to Baylor and wanted them in...
Now you can see why Texas wants out and away from these little pesky schools..They have been dealing with this crap for years and taking the blame for all that goes wrong.

3-7 against the frogs meaningless, you slapdicks are going to get your asses kicked so bad in the SEC. Wait we have Sarkisian blah blah fricking blah.
Y'all are all about to find out what "comeuppance" means. NIL means Texas gets to cheat like the rest of you have without having to worry about what the old thinking, snobby Big Money Donors will say...They don't have to worry about losing any of their percentage of the PUF fund in Texas anymore for getting slapped down by the NCAA for recruiting violations when sleezy politicians get involved..
They are about to roll up on the SEC in a cavalcade of limos throwing hundred dollar bills out of all 10 of the windows to recruits...
They want be the same team in 3 short years from now that you saw in the Big 12 whether Sark is the coach or not. They will find the coach they need to get the Bus rolling...
Thank you NIL, and thanks for voting us into the SEC..

I mean I get that she’s butt hurt but how stupid can this analogy be? LSU is 3-7 against Alabama in that time frame and has 2 SEC titles and a National Title. Sorry your little private school in Fort Worth doesn’t move the needle. Texas could be another Vandy for the next 10 years and there’s still no doubt that it’s a good move. Why must people really argue that this move is about records on the field and not money?

We should definitely fire the coaches responsible for that.

Let’s put this into perspective. In 2014, Baylor and TCU were both knocking on the CFP door but were left out due to what seemed to be the lack of a brand name with a large following. If it were OU or Texas in question, they do not get left out? Let’s even throw OK State into this. 2011, the Cowboys were left out of the BCS championship game and some argue that it was due to the lack of a brand name. If it were Ou or Texas do they get left out?
The point here is that TCU & Baylor as well as the rest of the remaining big12 teams are G5 teams pretending to be P5 teams. Always has been this way. They’re mostly good teams but not the best of the best good. She can sit there and pout all she wants. This isn’t about records it’s about national relevance. TCU will never have that. They’re a regional brand. JUST like the rest of the Big8.

Burrows lives and has a house in Lubbock. He graduated from Texas Tech Law.
It's possible, just ever so possible that he may be a tad biased and conceivably playing some politics for his home crowed.

Texas will get messed with in the SEC.

Texas President represented well, stayed on script and did not get in a pissing match w/ lesser School AD’s and Mickey Mouse state senators.
The other AD’s put a cap on any “damages” owed the Big 12,
Bottom line, there is no law that prevents Texas from leaving.
The harder the Big 12 fights, the more we move from 2025 to 2022.

LSU got outscored 123-35 by Bama, A&M, & Auburn. Zero doubt in my mind we would have won by 14+ if y'all didn't puss out when you realized what kind of squad you had. You should probably worry about competing in a NIL world.
I think you should worry about your defense’s 3rd and 17 scheme.
