But most coaches would pick Texas if given a chose between LSU and Texas as per available resources.
The boob that posted that is dumber than a pile of bricks. You however bring up an interesting question.

Tom Herman picked Trans over LSU. Alleva was a terrible GM and could mess up any deal so that might have had something to do with it, but obviously looking back on history that was the best thing that could have happened as Herman was a dud and we won a Natty with O in 2019.

Trans has more money, not doubt. However, you being an OU fan know better than any other fanbase that Trans having the most money doesn't usually equal success. From car dealership owners to oil men to now mostly plaintiff attorneys, their top donors meddle more than YellaWood at Auburn and there are always way too many cooks in the kitchen.

LSU has a much smaller donor base, but for the most part they stay out of the way of the coach. Minus BK, the previous three coaches all won Natties at LSU and Miles and O are no Saban.

I've been intimately involved with both programs over my life and there is a reason I chose one over the other and that is because while there are great people involved as individuals, put them together and it is sickening as all they talk about is how rich they are and money this and money that and what they are going to buy and private jets (all relating to the football program).

That said, everyone is different and one coach might prefer to live in one city over the other. Texas has no state income tax but Louisiana does.

ZERO coaches are leaving one program for the other and I think it would be exactly 50/50 given the choice. They are both Top 5 programs and both can win national championships in this new college football environment.

A coach that’s any count would leave Baton Rouge without finishing packing if the Texas job opened up. They could probably triple what y’all pay and not miss a beat. They would have EVERYTHING at their disposal. And no, I’m not trying to make people laugh. That’s not why I joined this forum.

the biggest thing that Texas can give a coach that LSU can't, is the boosters calling the shots. and that is why Texas will continue hiring yes men. their boosters are a collection of jerry jones' so not many great coaches are leaving LSU to go put up with that diarrhea.

Very few coaches would LEAVE LSU for Texas.

LSU is a better gig if you want to win a NC
