And here I am thinking that LSU fans are delusional. Sounds like some penis envy.

tebow isn't even in the top 10 cfb players of this decade

Tim Tebow has never even been the best player on his team at Florida.

Um...I dunno, a part of me feels the same way they do cause of all the insane weapons he's had around him. But, they don't have to play him every year.

Although Tebow is great, and I'd take him as our QB in a heartbeat, I do think the attention he receives is a little over-the-top. I think it's hilarious that people claim he's the greatest college football ever. People sure have short memories.

Guys considered to be "great" like Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Tommie Frazier, Charlie Ward, etc. were all playing with a bunch of scrubs.

Realizing that once you start crossing into different eras of the game fair comparisons are hard to come-by. But in my era of CFB ('69 to present), he is the best CFB player. Not trying to pick a fight but who would you suggest is better in that timeframe? (And having spent time in FL during those dark '90s, I have no love-loss for UF).

How well he does on the next level is TBD. The only "weakness" I've seen is his release may not be the fastest but small price to pay for his leadership, toughness, accuracy, etc.

Vince pretty much carried Texas their NC year, but yeah, I see what you're saying.

I really think Vince is a little overrated personally. I think if he would have played in the SEC he wouldn't have been as dominant. He would have still been ridiculously good though. Most of the Big 12 stopped caring about defense and that was one of USC's worst defenses of the decade.

I just think Tebow is such a weird running QB because he is more like a full back throwing the ball. He would rather just run people over. Even though this makes him more vulnerable to injury the mentality to run people over means that he is more than likely running upfield and not sideline to sideline.

I think according to every fan of every school if said player played in their conference he would not have been as good.

I am sure Pac 10, Big 10, ACC etc fans think certain players would not be as good in their conference.

Credit where credit is due. Vince Young's game against USC after the '05 season was the most clutch and dominant performance I've ever seen in a single game. But I don't think his career is on a par with Tebow. And Tebow was incredibly clutch in both the 4th Qtr of the SECCG and the BCS CG.

I think AD is the best player of the last 10 years. He did have injury problems though.

Larry Fitzgerald is by far the best WR IMO. That dude would catch anything even close to him it was ridiculous.

As far as QB potential I think JR was just ridiculous. He still isn't close to reaching his ceiling IMO. He definitely could have been better in college too.

Julius Peppers was quite a freak at DE at UNC also.

God I hate to say this but put McFadden in the backfield with Tebow and we are talking about Darren's back to back Heisman's with a pretty good QB handing off to him.

I think he would have still been good in the SEC, but I don't believe he was unstoppable. Auburn is a good example of a team that played a smaller defense built on speed that was really good for a good portion of this decade. I think that type of scheme could have slowed him down.

The only teams in the Big 12 that I can remember being good on defense in their conference are UT and OU. He doesn't have to play a game against his own defense either.

I am not saying he wasn't an elite college player, but I think the conference was built to be dominated by him. I am not surprised he ran all over Ohio St in the Rose Bowl and definitely wasn't surprised by his performance against USC. Wasn't it Fresno St that was moving all over USC towards the end of that year?
