Both sides really just need to let it lie for awhile.
Texas officials seem to be the ones commenting on it the most by far, though. I honestly can't remember the last time a TAMU official spoke on this. It's been awhile.

Meh. We have bigger fish to fry. Our little brother in Baton Rouge keeps getting lucky and upsetting us. I wouldn't have to worry about tu playing spoiler like the swamp kittens, as well. Would be annoying.

I'd be cool with this, actually. Would be a great series, especially now with further ties between the schools thanks to Kingsbury.
Idk if that would jeopardize Tech's standing in the Thanksgiving rotation with texas, though.

Seriously, I love history like that too. It's utterly amazing what pride can cause people to do. One can only imagine where Tech would be if Dodd's ego hadn't been so huge - just as he was gaining even more sympathy over the rule change the fair/democratic way, he decided Tech was so important that he'd demand everyone else do as he told them. But I honestly think he thought Tech stood alone and had no peers. He overestimated people's desire to play an independent Tech and thought they were big enough to operate alone.
No one likes a dictator seems to be a pretty hard and fast rule for those of used to democracy.
