To the poster that that even remotely thinks the whorns have "owned" A&M - please get your facts straight. A&M has beaten the horn in football 3 of the last five years. A&M in the last 35 years (modern football era) has "owned" the whorns in football with a winning record against them. You get a pass this time.
Whorn arrogance:
When Arkansas left the SWC, the whorns said "it's you, not us".
When Nebraska left. whorn said "it's you, not us".
When Colorado left. whorn said "it's you, not us".
And finally when A&M left they say the same thing. Pretty friggin weak.

Now we have to endure the Aggies and the Longhorns on our boards. The SEC did make a huge mistake by accepting the Aggies. We should have left all the Texas folk in Texas so that they could continue to bash and hate each other while the rest of the country ignores them.

F-off nerd sip! The Aggies may be weird (my wife is an Ag so I can say that objectively), but they are one of us now. Go make fun of Baylor, Tech and the Okies, and keep your 500 word spell-checked trash talkin' on their boards.
Here's to A&M running your a**es of the field this turkey day!! SEC

First off, to my new SEC brethren, let me assure you that when this season is over and the rivalry between the Horns and A&M, your boards will not be raided with discussions and arguments about this former rivalry. We want to leave the past in the past and move forward and enjoy our new place. Any hostility will be coming from Austin.
Secondly, we definitely have obscure traditions and as a whole, may seem a little bizarre, but one on one, we are a good natured, down to earth, and laid back group of people. Our fanbase does not resemble anything like our counterparts in Austin.
Third, when you visit College Station (and I hope you do), you will be treated with the utmost respect (of course there will be a few drunk idiots that may act out but i promise the vast majority, especially alumni are bred to treat our oppenents as if they are our own alumni brothers). If you want to know how we really treat our opponents, go ask Nebraska, ISU, Clemson, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and any other school not named Tech, Texas or Baylor (even though we treat them MUCH better than they treat us, you will not get an honest answer).
I forgot to mention, at the Cotton Bowl last year I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the LSU fans. I've heard horror stories in the past (may be different in Baton Rouge), but I walked away with a fond respect for their fans. I was treated with nothing but respect from all fans and did not have one bad encounter. Props to y'all.

And just to clear up any misconceptions about our corps of cadets from the OP:
The number of Corps members that get commissioned is currently 42%, not 15% as this idiot proclaims. If you count off campus commissions and other cadets serving outside of the normal ROTC program that number goes over 50%. An awful lot of guys he is making fun of are going over to a war zone shortly after graduation to protect all of our freedoms.
A&M produces more military officers every year than any other school in the country other than the academies.
A&M had more men in WWII than any other school and all the academies combined.
A&M has 7 Medal of Honor winners, more than any other school other than the academies.
More than 250 Aggies have become Generals or Flag Officers in the military.
Recently Vandergrift High School in Austin was named after an Aggie Marine, Matthew Vandergrift '03, who died in Iraq in 2008.
--Thanks to aggie93 for the info.

I've lurked here for a while and registered today.
Just had to slow down and look at the car accident the OP got into.
....oooh look, there's his head.

I have never figured out why horns use thie "fight song" smack against us. Theirs is every bit as bad as ours and is almost an exact copy of an old Aggie song.
