re: This is fricking embarrassing what the frick are you guys doing?

It's pretty obvious Bama never showed up for this game.
They better come out in the second half and start dominating the LOS like they should or they're gonna get hung with the most embarrassing loss of the bowl season.
OU shouldn't even be in a BCS bowl much less mudholing their opponent.

Wow. Baylor and Texas crushed OU.
This may be worse than Utah.
I think Bama comes back but they can't afford any more mistakes or this gig is over.

re: Outback Bowl | LSU 21 vs Iowa 14 | FINAL | TIGERS WIN!

If Hill takes a knee on the 1 yard line instead of scoring, the game is over.
The clock and possession was Iowa's biggest adversary, not the score. Scoring and kicking off removes both from the equation.

JFF leaving?
Get ready for another JFF.
Father played QB for A&M, beat Auburn in the 1986 Cotton Bowl.

re: A&M Fans, Ques about Auburn loss

The JFF injury definitely made a difference in the Auburn game. Due to our poor defense we basically were unable to hold serve when JFF went out. Bringing in our backup cold and him unable to complete a short pass into the end zone was the killer. The horse collar was also probably a factor.
JFF hurt his thumb on his throwing hand when he hit his center's helmet while throwing in the MSU game. Obviously this affected him more than anything against LSU and Mizzou since his remarkable accuracy went into the tank the last two games.
The bottom line though is to win in this league you better have depth to address short or long term injuries or you won't win / don't deserve to win.
If we played today, though, I don't think we beat Auburn with or without a healthy JFF no matter where we play that game. They just kept getting better.

you aggies really need to lay off the fake injury story. noone gives a damn about how unfair and unsportsmanlike you think it is.
Nobody gives a howdy frick what you think, either.
The accusation and following debate is that we boo injuries. Fake cramps are not injuries. It's easy to follow the discussion, unless you just shove your peen into a light socket, flip the switch, and start typing.

Every player that went down with an injury for LSU was booed immediately.
Funny how the injuries disappeared once the LSU defense wasn't on its heels.
If you have opposable thumbs and a pulse, it's easy to recognize fake cramps to slow down the offense's tempo. And if you're lacking one of the above, you recognize it when that player is back on the field three plays later.
Legit opponent injuries are easy to spot and are not booed, as was at least one of them....when the player was applauded when helped off the field.

Funny how you don't mention the overwhelming majority of responses in that thread which are negative at best and pissed off at worst over even the contemplation of using the phrase.
For almost 100 years, "The 12th Man" has been used in place of " (fill in the blank) Nation" or whatever equally lame ubiquitous moniker for fans and alumni of schools across the country. We're unique, we already have a well known brand which we license to the Seattle Seahawks, and we have no reason to change it.

re: Texas A&M is just now getting a football only weight room?
Posted by Enormous Codpiece on 4/13/12 at 3:38 pm
When the current weight room was built in the early 80s for Jackie Sherrill, it was state of the art at the time. It had to be named as a performance lab for the Kinesiology Dept. because that was the only way to get funding and construction approved at the time. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board which tells you wtf you can do on campus used to work in mysterious ways.
Things are different now. The politics are out of it and with the shite tons of money rolling into the athletic department, the big cigars are now telling the coordinating board wtf to do.
Expect lots of new neatshat to be built.

You can post that Dallas Morning News story to your heart's content. Nothing really came of it, anyway.
Nothing, except this....

And as for your claim that Texas coaches were not involved, that it was just the alumni and boosters, there is this assistant coach who was later given the head coaching position:

Now stick that in your codpiece and blow it out your ear.
You can trot out all the blimps you want and try to tell us what matters and what doesn't matter, but the bottom line is you said the Horn version of cheating was...and I quote..."hard to control", and I owned your arse by pointing out that you were letting these cheaters walk smooth into the dressing room and into closed practices, and that *at least* one assistant coach was involved.
You're really getting your shite pushed in on this thread. I'm not really sure if you can dig your hole any deeper.

All I can say is reading this makes me sad. He's been around for awhile. People define your life, even your virtual ones, and you respect them for it. Crap this sucks.
