aTm out maneuvered Texas and beat them to the SEC. Got a 10 year head start in the best conference in America.

They had an all world QB heisman winner to bring them all the attention in the world, still couldn’t put it all together and fired coach. Backed up brinks truck for Jimbo, and it has been a complete failure. Now they are imploding just as Texas is set to join the league and negate the advantages aTm offered recruits and potential coaches in the state.

Besides money, what coach is going to bet their future trying to clean up that mess with Texas looming in the wings about to join the SEC? It just got twice as hard and the deck is stacked against you.

If you think about it, it's very similar to the "Aggie roller coaster" meme, just over a 10 year time line.

- Joins SEC, beats Alabama
- Manziel wins Heisman
- Early setback, Sumlin fired
- Jimbo hired, beats LSU, Alabama, buys #1 recruiting class
- Loses to Appalachian State, players streaming their Chargers Tokyo-drifting in College Station parking garages

Furk.

Best conference based on Alabama carrying the league for over a decade or…?

A&M has been nailing off season moves and coaching hires for a long time. Franchione, Sumlin and moving to the Big 12 were at the time of each event seen as brilliant moves..along with what you pointed moving to the SEC and the “home run hire” or Fisher.

All those lead to constant posturing.

They just aren’t winners on the field when it matters. You are who you are.

It sure isn't because of aTm lifting the league.

What a disaster Capped off by that AWFUL yell-groupie video from the yell practice.

The last 3 NCs are from the SEC only one is Alabama. It’s certainly not the gay traditions from A&M doing the work.

Ole Miss has been to 3 NY6 bowls and aTm has 10x the resources and has been to 1. MS State has also been to 1.

We had a coach fired for calling prostitutes and have still managed to have more success

or it is still ignorantly laughable to put any other conference ahead of the SEC knowing that even without Alabama, five different SEC schools have won a title since the inception of the BCS/CFP. No other conference has more than two teams (Miami won it as a Big East school).

“Carrying” the league? I think you mean “leading” the league. Most of top teams in the league hold their own and prove their worth to the SEC over the last 20 years.
National championships
Bama 6
LSU 3
UF 2
UGA 1
Auburn 1

The SEC has been well represented in national championship games by the big 6.

When A&M accepted an invite to join the SEC, Saban had won one national title at Alabama. At that time, LSU won in 2003, Auburn went undefeated in 2004, Florida won in 2006, LSU in 2007, Florida again in 2008, Alabama in 2009, and Auburn in 2010. No one was carrying Alabama's water when A&M decided to jump ship from the Big 12 to the SEC. The SEC had long since established itself as the best football conference in America.

Had Bama not existed the SEC would have won national titles in
2009 Florida
2011 LSU
2012 LSU
2017 Georgia
2020 Some SEC team

You forgot 2012. Georgia could have easily won the NC if not for Bama. The NC game was a farce

Nah. And Florida is lucky they got Oklahoma the previous year at that. Texas beat OU by 10 in 2008, but of course Oklahoma got picked to go, even though their records were the same.

2008 Texas was even better than 2009 Texas. You can't assume Florida beats them either time.

Your mom. You know who's never been back? You. Because you were never there in the first place.
