I'll bet coach is lighting their asses up right now.

It was partly Musselman's fault for slowing it down. We started running super slow sets with like 8 mins left and up 20 or so.

It looked like he just wanted players to work on different things

It wasn't like it was an upset alert game though, Gaylord. The only concern there is they were on pace for a 30 point victory when they pushed it up from 14 to 20 or so and it trended back the other way.

Team got a little complacent, as you could see from Muss there at the end.

I'll tell ya this. He's gonna whip LSUs arse.

Yep. You think he took Vanover out to just get other guys in the game?

I didn't catch Muss saying anything about Vanover. Kinda strange. I thought he played very well. He talked about damn near everyone else on the team.

Maybe I just missed it. I wonder if Vanover found his way into the dog house.

We have a deep, talented team, so I get why Muss wants to push the ball up the court. Unfortunately, we look more like Mike Anderson than Nolan Richardson. I don't like the game plan.

Legit exactly what I thought last night.

No one sticking to any role at all, defense all over the place, was super deja vu and unlike what we expect from a Muss team.

We took our foot off the gas and coasted to a win. Which will work against the Texes-Arlingtons of the world but will bite you in the butt once the level of competition steps up.

In the last two games, against two teams with a pulse, the Hogs have had stretches where it seemed like everything was falling in. They can score a lot of points very quickly.

Unfortunately, both games also had really long stretches where we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if we were close enough to pee on it.

Hopefully that gets fixed as the season continues and they get more playing time but this might be one of those hot and cold type years. Two areas of concern are that we have a lot of trouble finishing close to the rim and the team seems to go into a funk when the Jolly Green Giant isn't out there.

Still, its another win and with a young team filled with transfers you are going to have some rough patches.

I mean as a whole the defense was actually very solid, especially in the 2nd half. They only scored 27.

Yeah, last night the offense in the 2nd half was far more concerning than the D. Vanover can and is able to play more productive minutes than he did right? He certainly adds a different dimension to the team when he’s in the game. Hopefully, Muss had him out trying to get a better game action feel for the rest of the guys.
