I mean, the thought of playing Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor and so on week in and week out is pretty fricking depressing

It was. Night and day different than SEC.

Imagine LSU being everyone’s Super Bowl week in and week out. In SEC there are 3-4 “super bowl” type games each week. Just night and day.

Cheerleaders are certainly better looking than B12

I wouldn't say most of the success. The past decade was poor leadership in AD and bad coaching hires.

Change that, allow for unlimited portal transfers, AND allow for NIL and Texas has a good chance to always compete.

If it was just about NIL many other schools are paying plenty for NIL and hasn't translated to success like Texas has recently.

Getting the shite kicked out of us by South Carolina in the first ever meeting with them, taking another loss from LSU and letting one get away against Missouri, mmm mmm so good! Can't wait for another season!
That last one is beyond embarrassing, smh.

Be better gooners

No longer being an outsider although I can understand from the traditionalists that they will always view us as outsiders and that’s fine.

Also, being part of a larger brand than just our school name alone.

Bigger, better games, obviously. Also, it’s great being in a nationally relevant conference but have the benefit of playing teams from our part of the country. Kept OU, back with tamu/ark. LSU is close.

And I know the big12 expanded, but I hated that round robin schedule. Texas didn’t need to be playing Iowa State every year. Here, over 10 years you’ll see a good mix of teams and have your annual rivalry games.
