Yea it was for sure espn yearning for a channel that had to play 2 year old volleyball games just to take up time. They definitely wouldn't have ever offered that to any other school. I live in Texas bro, there are 2-1 a&m fans here, probably close to the same tech and ou fans. Your brand only carries weight in your little small circle at this point. Not that your circle is that small but they don't give a shite about athletics. Their goal is smashing the patriarchy.

The real truth is that ESPN didn't give a shite about viewership. It was basically a bribe to keep Texas out of the PAC16 and FOX's hands. It kept Texas in the Big 12 and then they shepherded us into the SEC, which was coincidentally fully owned by ESPN.

No, not really. Texas doesn't plan on "calling the shots". We are not here to try and "take over" or "s#it on this conference" (like frightened aggy seems to think).
