Yep, two of the guys we tailgate with (who are funny, good guys) were corps figs. I call them that all the time and make fun of their corps lingo. They also have thick skin and realize (at an older age) that a lot of the stuff they did was abnormal, odd and socially awkward.

They also don't regret their time at A&M, so I'm glad they enjoyed being who they were. Life's too short not to pursue what you want to pursue. Doesn't mean I can't poke fun at your odd ways though. It goes both ways.

Yeah, I know Corps guys too, like I said, and yeah, they make fun of themselves, but I'm not going to let others outside the University make fun of them, but I suppose it's a lost cause on the internet though, because that's what the internet is for.

I for one am not against the yell dudes, but I think yall should put some skirts on a group of hotties and make them dance around. Let the yell dudes have some chicks so we can look at something while this crap goes on.

Yes, they do. Aggies have Fish Camp

Since it's a camp for freshmen students, me calling them fish is not incorrect?

I was in the Corps ( Cav, Ross Volunteer) and just look the other way when it come to corps bashing on the internet. the only thing that fustrates me is when Ags like Kaisersozi, who is a bitch, call us out. what is the point here? I guess it's just a few insecure Aggies trying to find some empathy from other fanbases on the internet. good luck with that by the way.

but yea, the whole Corps bashing is way overblown. But who cares, I have a real job and and a family to take care of so I can't worry about what some nerd on the internet thinks of the Corps.

A&M has been catching shite for the corps and the yell leaders ever since the school dumped compulsory duty in the armed forces about 50 years ago. Maybe even before that.

I'll tell you what I've posted before and tell those who aren't familiar with A&M. The 48,000 normal kids that attend A&M roll their eyes at the corps.

When you visit, you'll certainly see what I mean. There's 2 worlds at A&M. The college scene with regular students that includes Northgate, Sporting Events, Tailgating, Greek Life, etc. and the Corps Scene which is confined to the Quad and includes homoerotic rituals that I don't want to begin to understand.

utter fricking nonsense from Ballgravy. this is the type of shite i was referring to. I was in E-2 and we did all sorts of mixers, crushparties, ect with a bunch of sororities. yea there are oddballs in the corps and I will be the first to say it but there are alot of cool/normal cadets that had a hell of a good time in college.

I was the one who pulled the video off the yell leader's facebook before he thought twice and deleted it and I put it up on Youtube. You're all welcome.

The corps is where kids that got stuffed in lockers in high school go to feel important. 60-70% of them DO NOT go on to the armed services. Personally, I stopped playing army when I was five.

They make up 3-4% of the school. We have 50,000 students and the largest student section in the country by far (a vast majority of which are NOT people in the corps), yet the geniuses decided it was a good idea to implement a corps block in the late 90s. As a result, during most telecasts it looks like the student body is 100% corps because the cameras constantly show the corps block, located on the first deck of the stadium. As usual, horrible marketing by A&M. No recruit or potential student sees those idiots squeezing their nuts and says "Wow, I really want to go to A&M now."

All that said, the yell leaders do serve a purpose. Hearing the entire student section do yells in unison is a cool thing. I am all for bringing the Aggie Dance Team to Kyle Field though. And making the yell leaders hot women.

FIFY... but I also acknowledged this in another post FWIW, and I knew people who were in your outfit, plus about 5-7 years.
