You're pandering to the SEC posters on this board is what you're doing.

Not really... never been a fan of the majority of the corps.

I just happen to be in agreeance. A&M was a lot of things to me as a college student, but I never got why anyone in there right mind would want to be apart of the corps unless they were looking to achieve an officer position in the military.

After experiencing the group mentality of the corps up close in public, my opinion was cemented of the overall "corps" package. I think some of the outdated traditions that started with the corps needs to go away.

I'm not afraid to own that opinion 110%

I'd agree with you on that. The people in the corps embrace their ways and stupidity and will defend it even when it gives the University a black eye.

At least their consistent....

Haha, well you and I both know the Corps isn't going anywhere, and it's an important part of Texas A&M as well. I wouldn't want the Aggie Yell Leaders or the Aggie Band to go anywhere, they are a big part of what makes the A&M gameday, and while the Aggie Yell Leaders could keep going without the Corps, the Aggie Band wouldn't, and it wouldn't be the same without them. Also I do enjoy March-In before the games.

I had never seen them do their cheers before. I figured it'd look more manly than that. They just look goofy.

I suddenly wish we could have just kept Arkansas as our yearly opponent so I don't have be subjected to this on a yearly basis.

Out of the 330K living alumni, I'd say only 10% were in the corps, if that. Your statement was probably true in 1980, but not today, not even close.

Even though Aggie freshman students aren't in the corp, don't they still do some 50's like stuff (Example-learning the cheers for Yell Practice)?

If I understand your question correctly are you asking do all Aggie students learn the yells? Yes, they do. Aggies have Fish Camp during the summer before their first fall semester. It's not mandatory to attend but it's a freshman orientation where students will learn various things about their college experience, like many orientations, but also they learn about the Aggie traditions, such as yells, the fight song, the Spirit, Silver Taps, Muster, Elephant Walk, the Aggie Ring, various student organizations, among other things.

Aggie Yell Leaders/Aggie Yells are not a Corps-Only area.

The tra-la-la song was an inside joke among the Corps, Yell Leaders thought the video would be funny. I know one of those guys and he's a good guy, certainly not gay, but he regrets posting the video. He thought it would be funny.

Ball Gravy, do you seriously go around calling members of the Corps gay to their face?
