3. La Tech's AD and coach both admitted to having ulterior motives for postponing the game, like selling more tickets and getting game film on A&M.

Man, 12 games in a row. Rough, but I can see 9 wins out of it.

Sumlin should be coach of the year if we win 9 games

Why wasn't the game moved to Saturday?

Indefensible.

I believe Grambling State/Alcorn State is playing in Shreveport that night, Choupique19.

That is indeed the reason. It's barely raining here in Shreveport and the wind isn't bad at all. The game could have and should have been played

b/c there wont be hotel accommodations any closer than an hour and a half away due to the rooms be taken up by people gambling on labor day, Grambling/Alcorn St fans, and evacuees.

Are there indeed refugees there and heading there? That's what I've read and heard and if so then it's completely understandable why they had to do it.

None to my knowledge. I have a lot of family and friends in south Louisiana and they rode it out, and they are just fine. Yea some people lost power and shite but the storm wasn't that bad. Some of my friends from Shreveport drove through it going to Orange Beach and said it's just a steady, light rain with not much wind at this point. Not enough tickets being sold is the real reason for the cancellation, it's too obvious

Complete over reaction. Wasn't the game cancelled on Monday? I can understand canceling the Thurs game, but to expect evacuees and such is ridiculous. Hurricane Katrina was a once in a 30 year event. Every storm in the Gulf will not produce those kinds of results.

At least wait for the storm to arrive before making permanent decisions.

Bad news... 12 straight weeks means we have a much bigger chance of losing to actual quality teams later in the schedule due to injuries as the season progresses.

On the bright side, the NCAA spared y'all the death penalty which was deserved based on your numerous severe violations during '80s and '90s.
