Our 3rd-down defense is good though, isn't it?

Yes. But as someone else mentioned and I agree, it's going to be about the match-ups. And to add to it: It may also be about the coaches and who does a better job of playcalling, bringing the havoc from the D front 7, changing up the O and pulling some surprises.

I don't expect A&M to come into the game sleepwalking for sure. The coaches and the players are going to be keyed in. If anything, that USCe away game feels like a trap either way-- if we lose at home it'll be deflating to then go play against a lower rated but potent opponent who will punch you in the face; and if we win, then too, it can be mentally hard to get ready for SCe. It's a bit like the MissSt game in the sense that winning it didn't increase A&M's ranking in the polls because we were meant to beat them but if we had lost would have would tanked. It's a bit thankless in that sense with USCe too.

Apparently someone asked Taurean York a question after the State game and he responded "That game ended 30 minutes ago. We're focused on LSU."

Encouraging stuff.

LSU just needs to plan to throw the ball to whoever Hill is guarding in the secondary every play and LSU will win 72 - 28.

They can't lose this one. It simply isn't possible.

Totally agree on Nuss. He throws into traffic without hesitation. Gets rid of ball quicker than most and similar to weigman not consistent. Accurate passer when hot but can throw a questionable pic like weigman. I swear they could be twins. Lol

Elko was the Notre Dame DC in 2017 under Brian Kelly as HC. They have not faced each other as HCs.

Great matchup coming up, both sides will be ready. A&M is doing the Saturday Night Blackout for this game, should be a great atmosphere at Kyle Field. Hope the game gives the world a spectacle to remember.

Bring it on baws!

This is the best DLine they'll have faced, though.

In what way?

Ole Miss is pretty dang good up front and SC can rush the passer as good as anybody. We've seen similar fronts compared to what yall will run out there. You haven't see an offense like ours yet.

Yea a guy with 18 tds and 6ints is totally twins with a guy that has 3 tds and 4 ints. Nuss can get wild at times but you can't compare him and Weigman. Nuss makes NFL throws over and over and over. Weigman is just an average dude.

Why are lsu fans so insecure when it come to playing a&m. Every comment i read year after year since Miles left is that lsu will have it rough okaying a&m. The flicked up this is its coming from Lsu fans. Dude, i hope our fan base stop with the scared to play a&m antics. Were gonna push they shite in like we have been doing for the last 15 season. We have won 10 of the last 15 meetings and if you count the 2018 game that we were cheated out thats 11 of 15.

One interesting aspect is LSU hasn't had to deal with being behind the sticks due to sacks. What, 2 sacks through 7 games?

I guarantee that's at least doubled on Saturday.

I'll take that bet. Our team has its share of weaknesses. Our OL's ability to pass block isn't one of them. You're up against two of the best OT's in the country.

oh please- there was NOT ONE WRONG CALL against lsu despite all the crying.

and the irony to whine when the refs absolutely STOLE our victory against yall in BR in 2021 when we took the ball from you at the end of the game and they completely IGNORED it. They said forward motion was stopped when he was clearly moving forward and they didnt blow the whistle til 5 seconds after. And they never reviewed it- including the tv broadcast. total hose job.

check it out w 2 min left:

LINK

what a joke. and then w 20 seconds left, WR with obvious push off on DB not called as announcers mention.

frick ESPN for intentionally covering up
both those plays in the broadcast.

that note, I heard that Scourton was out. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Scourton is playing. He played while sick last Saturday and thus had a lot of problems with cramps.

Glad we have a qb with huge balls. I think Nuss thrives in this environment and the weapons around him are developing nicely. He has options and he knows it. Focus on the outside playmakers too much and we finally have the ability to make you pay in the running game.

Tigers offense is confident right now. Defense is getting there quickly.

Both teams are peaking. Kelly has finally figured out he’s just gotta turn them loose. If Nuss plays like I think he will LSU should be victorious.
