Honestly, fun as hell. Good to be around people that are passionate and knowledgeable about football and their school.
Good to play LSU and Arkansas again regularly. In spite of crap that goes on here - like the fans of those schools and good friends with grads.
Surprised by South Carolina and Miss State. Honestly didn’t follow them much before coming to the SEC, but solid programs and solid fans.
Would like a rotation with the East that let us play more often.

What are you talking about?
I asked a legitimate question.

Interesting....sounds like it is mainly better fan satisfaction with conference, more status and more money....
Record is slightly better in SEC than was in Big 12 but very similar.
While in the SEC Fisher and Sumlin have essentially the same records but Sumlin best year is better than Fishers best year.... interesting that Sumlin was fired for dropping down to consecutive 8-5 seasons...Fisher avoided that last year by going 8-4feit....

So, yet again, you find yourself somewhere that you are unwanted, unliked, and not respected. I’ll tell you what I told the ex, sometimes it’s not everyone else that’s the problem. Those full length mirrors you have aren’t just for looking at your feather boas and tuck jobs.

Good question OP.
I believe most Aggies would say we’ve enjoyed the stability of the SEC. While there are certainly several heavyweights in the SEC, they don’t run roughshod over the others… and we are all looked at as equal business partners.
We enjoy the better competition. I think it has made A&M athletics better and the SEC has certainly risen our profile nationally.
The venues we visit are far better than the Big12… and the premium games aren’t played at 11:00am on Fox
Overall, we’ve enjoyed the experience!
Never thought i would agree with an Aggie Post on here but good Job

For me personally, the football road trips are a hell of a lot better, not only for the locations, but also the fanbases. I haven't been to an away game yet where I didn't have a good time. Also love how the SEC teams travel to College Station for the games. College Station is night and day different than before we joined the SEC, I have to imagine that had a lot to do with it. With the increased crowd sizes, the city built up to accomodate.
Outside of football though, I love that the conference cares about all sports and the fans show up in the stands, that certainly wasn't the case before in the Big 12. Personally I think my favorite aspect of coming to the SEC is for baseball, there isn't a conference in the nation that can hold a candle to the SEC atmospheres for a baseball game.
As someone who has lived all over while in the Army but now find myself in Missouri long term, I've loved the increased exposure the move got A&M. Can't remember the last time I've had to listen to a game on the radio or over the internet which used to happen all the time in the Big 12.
The only thing I miss a little bit about the Big XII was basketball and how the schools showed up for those games, A&M fans to a lesser extent. That said, I think the SEC is getting a lot better and I think that improved product on the floor will start improving the SEC basketball environments.

The difference is that Sumlin's best year was with Sherman's players, Sumlin didn't leave much for Fisher. Based on recruiting, I think Fisher's best years are yet to come

Hope so. The lack of results are inexcusable

Excited about this the most. Fayetteville, Oxford, Tuscaloosa etc are way better college towns to visit than Lubbock or Stillwater

Sumlin took a 7-6 team and made it an 11-2 team. THat is the fact. Fisher has got up to 9 wins then fell back, fact again no spin.
I think fisher has a chance to win the sec but I doubt he will. I think he already feels the pressure and that is making him do things he should not, like forfeit and go overboard in NIL, then deny it.....I think this stuff is not the kind of culture that wins championships.
Maybe Fisher proves me wrong, maybe not....

Texas A&M needs a period like 1990-1998 to return.
