Aggies, how has the past decade of being in the SEC enriched your life? What specifically is more enjoyable about the SEC to you personally, as compared to being a part of the Big 12?

Have you seen their trophy case lately?

They’ve been every bit as mediocre as they were in the B12.

This may have nothing to do with 1939 but I'll damn sure bring it up

More importantly look at how A&M has made the SEC better.

They love being the only team from Texas in the SEC.

Good question OP.
I believe most Aggies would say we’ve enjoyed the stability of the SEC. While there are certainly several heavyweights in the SEC, they don’t run roughshod over the others… and we are all looked at as equal business partners.
We enjoy the better competition. I think it has made A&M athletics better and the SEC has certainly risen our profile nationally.
The venues we visit are far better than the Big12… and the premium games aren’t played at 11:00am on Fox
Overall, we’ve enjoyed the experience!

This is statistically spot on.
B12 68-61 .527
SEC 46-35 .567
.04 increase in conference winning percentage.
But Reservoir Ag makes a good case too, many of those things are what draws OU to the SEC.

Ha! I’m trying to change hearts and minds around here!
There’s a lot of vitriol here towards Aggie.

Don’t really feel a part of the SEC. Richer, but we have a bunch of money anyway. Games have been better, but overall feeling of meh …

I want to troll Aggie on this board but this post is very well composed.

The PAC has some openings. Go west and maybe Jumbo can win a ship.

I don’t think Fisher could win in the AAC, to be honest

God I was hoping this would be a troll post. Although I’m quite positive it is going to turn that way

I believe in intellectual honesty… yes, A&M has been mediocre for many years. And have been starving for a championship since 1939.
But the SEC has really helped in raising our profile. We have incredible talent, we have the facilities…. We’re about to find out if we have the right coaching.

Not much has changed. They're still also rans.
Guess the only difference is being able to hide from big brother for a decade.
