There isn’t a single SEC team that has had more crime occur in the past decade than A&M.

And it isn’t even particularly close.

Sexual assault survivors say Texas A&M chose its brand over justice
Ten women told The Dallas Morning News that Texas A&M didn't take them seriously when they reported their sexual assaults, and that the university protected the accused over the accusers.

COLLEGE STATION — Kendra Bailey wasn't a drinker. But at a party one night in December, she took her turn in one of Texas A&M University's most popular traditions: the Aggie ring dunk.

One by one, she and her friends in the school's Corps of Cadets military program dropped their new class rings into pitchers of beer. Then they chugged until their wide grins showed the glinting gold rings between their teeth.

Later, Bailey said, a fellow cadet and ring-dunker who was engaged to one of her friends walked her to her dorm room. He locked the door and assaulted her, penetrating her violently, she said.

"I said 'no' and pushed him away," said Bailey, who thinks she was weakened from the unaccustomed alcohol. "He forced himself on me over and over."

What happened next, she said, was a series of failures by Texas A&M administrators to take her seriously and make her feel safe as she dealt with one of the most traumatic and common crimes affecting college students.

Her case is not unique. Ten women told The Dallas Morning News that A&M — Texas' oldest public university, with an enrollment of 68,000 — responded inadequately to their sexual-assault cases and protected the accused over the accusers. Earlier this month, some women launched a social media campaign, #MeTooTAMU, after a student protested on Twitter that A&M allowed the man found responsible for sexually abusing her to compete on the university's swim team.

How is that issue with Guice going?

Let's be honest. Settlement was reached. Then the charges were dropped. He paid her off. Not some exoneration of a righteous man.

Charges sismissed against RB Derrius Guice AFTER settlement

I’m trying to understand what Guice has to do with this, besides another Aggy fan attempting to deflect their players’ crimes on LSU.

I guess “team vote” doesn’t hold the same weight it used to..

A&M literally continued to let Demas play after being shown images of the damages from his multiple abuses on women.

Sickening.

There’s nothing to hate about A&M, besides the rampant crime committed by their football players, of course.

Your family must be proud of you.

Apparently, optics and playing time were more important.

8 games and 15 receptions in his entire career. Pretty sure playing time wasn't a factor here. :)

I didn't bring Guice up. I was merely stating that when Wade Wilson said:

Charges dropped.

It really didn't tell the whole story, did it.... I mean Cam Robinson had his charges dropped and you guys will still be talking about that incident for the next 50 years.

An LSU fan starting a thread accusing others of ignoring sexual malfeasance.....oh the irony!!!!! You hillbillies have copyright on sexual assault by players. At least A&M didn't take a team vote to let the dumbass back on the team. lol

...I don't have a daughter that was repeatedly beaten by a Texas A&M football player. The accusations, with photo evidence, were provided by the mother of the victim.

Les Miles let the team vote to bring Jeremy Hill back on the team after knocking out a drunk, racist at the bar...which everyone who was there applauded.

Jimbo Fisher let Demond Demas continue to play, with no vote from the team, after being shown photos of Demas' abuse victim.

Leave it to Aggy to blind themselves from the difference.

None of us are shocked.

NCAA will not give a frick if the charges were dropped or not as long as the have proof (photos) of abuse from multiple victims.

Lack of institutional control is pretty evident here.

There’s absolutely no way that’s true. And don’t try to deflect about Baton Rouge, nobody ever said that town is safe.

Some random girl comes up to you and says “x player hit me”…what are you to say to that? “Ok let me call the cops right now”? You don’t know if she’s lying or not. You don’t know what happened. She should go to the police immediately, which she did not, therefor there is no criminal case.

You would have a valid point… except federal law requires university employees to report abuse allegations to the Title IX appointee once they are made aware of it.

This is physical abuse, though.

On women.

Not cool.
