Texas A&M - I don't get this recruiting class

Honest question...what does A&M have to offer? Is it just the money?
I'm curious how Jimbo, a historic average coach coming off a mediocre season, is pulling this off?
Thanks for the insight!

You know, even if it is money through NIL deals, that's perfectly legal in 2022 college football.

I know but there's no way LSU and Bama can't match these offers

Is this a rhetorical question? Otherwise follow some of these dudes on Twitter and ask them the question.

This is where NIL comes into play - it can make shitty programs with lots of money suddenly relevant

Might be for now but they’ll have to adjust and regulate NIL. No way it can stay as it is right now! NIL was a handlers best dream!

Some programs are capable of a number one class. Some aren’t. A&M is. Ole Miss isn’t. There isn’t anything more you need to know.

A&M has an elite game day environment, one of the most successful coach in the game, massive resources, and unsurpassed support.
What’s hard to understand?

A&M is not even a shitty program, it's historically been consistently a good program without a ton of championship hardware. This gives them a way to turn themselves into a great program.

I remember asking the same thing when Freeze and Ole Miss cheated so hard to pull in that class with Treadwell, Nkemdiche, and Tunsil.
Of course, this is a different situation.
Back then, it was a rhetorical question. We all knew Ole Miss was cheating, bc they legit had 0 to offer. And it took a few years, but it finally all came out and proved us all right.
Again, this is a different situation. We know you understand that and you're just trolling.

There's nothing in those departments that stands out in the SEC. Bama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Auburn, etc. All compare to A&M GameDay experience and facilities.
The difference is obviously NIL for some of these guys. Jimbo was recruiting well before this, but NIL has allowed them to add 4-5 really good players that they never would have contended with before. The guys that would be all Bama are now going to A&M.

It is now a bidding war. The college football we grew up with and most of us loved, is now in its death throws.

I din't get all the downvotes. Did I even say anything controversial?
1. A&M has an elite gameday environment: This is confirmed again and again and again by opposing coaches, opposing players, visiting fans, and recruits.
2. Jimbo is one of the most successful coaches in the game: not only is his won/loss record near the top of P5 coaches, but his number of major bowls is also near the top. Not to mention that he is one of only 4 active head coaches to win a natty.
3. A&M has massive resources: Again, this is entirely uncontroversial.
4. A&M provides the football program with unsurpassed resources: is this controversial? I don't think so.

Hate to break it to you, but if A&M can buy a number one class, every SEC school can if chose to do so.
