I think Texas will be good and beat some good teams next year. But the thing about the SEC is the cumulative effect that every week takes. You might escape a week or 2 with wins, but you’re almost inevitably gonna lose a game or 2 you “shouldn’t” because you have to absolutely bring it every week. I don’t think they’ll be perennial 8-4 like little brother A&M, but it will take a few seasons to figure out how to navigate the SEC grind. Although with the 12-team playoff, they can lose a couple games and still make it. But I’d be surprised if they go better than 9-3 next year with Michigan on the OOC slate.

His tape is terrible. Even LSU, the hometown school, didn't really pursue him. He sucked at LA HS football for a private school. He's garbage, but will have to start next year at some point after Ewers strains something again

My information comes from people that watched the loser play for years in LA HS football. He's a three star talent with a 5* name. Like most of the "talent" on the Texas team.
They recruit stars, not players that actually can play the game. Mercenaries. Thank God we aren't in that game anymore.

Newman has never won a state championship period. and the only team they lost to that year won the state championship.

just genuinely curious , how does one 1 loss season in last what 10-13 years make you think you’re going to run the SEC yearly ? If you can’t dominate the Big12 yearly except for this year , you’re going to go dominate SEC? Thats legendary confidence , pretty impressive tbh.
