With that bastard gone, I do find myself thinking about the games when I was at both schools.

I remember walking out of the B school the week before the game was in College Station. They were blasting crowd noise in DKR at full blast just to get the team used to it. At that time, the A&M game was the big issue, just because OU and Texas were both behind A&M for several years. Texas could beat OU reasonably often, but were in the middle of losing 10 of 11 to A&M.

Don't think it will ever be the same without on-campus Bonfire, but should still be a thing.

Good god. The Big 12 is going to be complete trash. Geographically it’s a mess. Weird matchups with no history or rivalries.

How long can that conference go on?
