So your stance is that Max didn't give LSU anymore of a chance to win than TJ did?

A better "chance", maybe, but ultimately the outcome would have been the same. He took a lot of sacks and was running for his life. I don't know how that translates into winning the game. I think people who say this are trying to drop Max against Ole Miss into the A&M game which just isn't the reality of either Max at that point or the level of defense he was facing.

I'm just curious why Aggies here feel the need to lie about their starters being in the game.

Very odd.

Everyone in the west should be more worried about Ole Miss than LSU at this point. Ole Miss has more proven production returning. LSU has more talent and potential production returning. We will know by end of day 10/2 who is the real team to beat in the west.

I've been banned from that place since the day Burgoon pulled that wedge out of his arse on the final hole.

I forgot how Mond was so inept that game. How is King progressing? I've seen him play several times at Lobo stadium.

If Max Johnson starts against A&M last year, LSU wins that game. No doubt in my mind about that.

Hard to tell because of how limited the access us and how tightly they control everything that comes out. I think he’s still pretty raw as a thrower but everyone is high on him as a leader and understanding the offense. And very high on the athleticism/running ability. He’s technically competing with Calzada who sounds like the more polished thrower but doesn’t have the upside King does IMO.

Hopefully we lean into the running ability and our backs early and that will make it easier on him. OL is definitely still a question mark

TAMU is too legit to quit. Recruiting is the only viable reason for Orgeron's success at LSU.

TAMU has easily made itself a favorite through elite recruiting. And now they have put enough classes together to reload. Unlike Orgeron, Jimbo can actually coach. This season is gonna be a rude awakening for tigerland.

Lsu is a complete unknown. Yall were bad last year. Talented, but .500. You fired most of your coaches and are starting all over again. The vet QB is injured so you have to start someone who wasn't anything special last year. Maybe everything clicks and you go 10-2. Or maybe yall stay on a similar course as last year and finish 7-5.

Ole Miss, on the other hand, looks to be elite offensively. They aren't as talented, but as long as they stay really good on offense their floor is pretty high. They have the ability to upset just about anyone. If they build just a decent defense and force some turnovers, they can go 9-3, 10-2.

I don't think its irrational to think Ole Miss is more dangerous than Lsu.

Max Johnson out dueled Corral last season when LSU had a historically bad defense.
