I hear myself saying that the Ole Miss defense last year made Lou Tepper and Bo Pelini blush.

I think his point was Ole Miss gave up the 3rd most yards in regards to passing per game

Doesn't really mean a ton.

LSU gave up the most passing yards of anyone in the country last season and Mond only managed 105.

Max did nothing in the first quarter and second quarter drives he got in the game. This narrative is stupid.

He went 2/3 for 18 yards.

If Finley isn't in to throw two picks and give them 7 points, I dont see it outside of the realm of possibility that Johnson manages to score another touchdown somewhere in that game.

Again, those stats are misleading. He was often running for his life. He pulled it together with his final drive when the rain stopped and they were playing more prevent defense.

So your stance is that Max didn't give LSU anymore of a chance to win than TJ did?

The arse whooping LSU will put on the Aggys this year is inevitable, they’re probably more worried about the games they have an actual chance in.

LSU fans treat that garbage time Max Johnson drive like Elway marching down the field in Cleveland. It’s hilarious.

Per FPI A&M has a 64.3% vs Lsu and 66.9% vs OM.

Yall are ranked 18th and 20th in the same metric.

That's because there was no need to pass the ball. The weather was crap and the only way A&M could lose the game was by turnovers. So they played a conservative ball control game and were up 20-0 until LSU scored a garbage TD with a minute left. LSU's offense could not get going until that end drive and the Pick 6 to make it 20-0 put the game out of reach.

A&M played to win and not for style points and they won comofortably without the game ever being in serious doubt. Yet LSU fans have become the biggest moral victory fans for A&M having mediocre offensive stats in that game I've ever seen. You would think you were Troy playing Bama the way you talk about only losing by 13.

It's weird and honestly kind of sad.

The one where Aggies desperately claim they were playing their backups even though they weren't and the A&M coaching staff was calling timeouts in hopes of stopping LSU?

Sure it does in a small sample size. If one of his two starts wasn't against one of the worst pass defenses in the country than his numbers wouldn't look like that.

Doesn't mean he isn't good, but context is important.
