Celebrities really shouldn't be on the sideline for either team, IMO. If they have no direct connection to the game or production, stay in the press box or the stands.

Translation: OU has no celebrity worth having on sideline. Jealous.

You have the Boz but he is busy doing commercial with Ewers.

I'm an Aggie and I don't care that he's on your sideline. We have had celebrities on our sidelines at Kyle.

A little strange at an away game, but I saw a video that he offered our AD a gift before the game so I thought that was a nice gesture.

Doesn't he teach at UT now? He's an employee of the school. Weird to get riled up over having a school employee on the sidelines.

This is true, he is also an alumnus, donor, and he been doing this for 20+ years. He was on the sideline for the 05 championship game. Why is everyone complaining about it now?

No one gives two fricks about Matthew McConaughey. You act like Texas is the only team with well known fans.

In addition to graduating from and teaching classes at UT, MM has been a consistent, vocal $upporter of Texas Football for over 20 years.

The University of Texas Moody Center (UT's Basketball Venue and Concert Arena) is a partnership with an investor group that includes Matthew McConaughey.
quote:

Moody Center hosts the biggest and best acts in the music industry. In addition to serving as the new home court of The University of Texas Women’s and Men’s basketball teams, The new arena also hosts family, sports and community events.

Who owns the land Moody Center is built on?
Moody Center was constructed on land owned by The University of Texas. The $375 million venue was privately-financed through a unique partnership between Oak View Group,Live Nation/ C3 Presents, Matthew McConaughey and The University of Texas at Austin.

How is Matthew McConaughey involved?
Austin-based Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey is the “Minister of Culture” of the venue (Moody Center), ensuring Longhorn and Austin cultures are properly represented, thus creating a fan experience that is authentic to Austin and unlike any other venue in the country.

The football brainwashing you to eat uber commercial is still the funniest commercial I've ever seen. Texas should be proud!

I get that your sole purpose on this site is to dog A&M, but you've been here for a while now - you should know how to use the forum's quote feature.

It makes you look like an uneducated arse doing this: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...which is also how no one has ever quoted anyone in the history of words...or didn't your mighty education teach you that?

I don't know why people hate on the guy just because he likes football.

It's pretty damn pathetic really.

Why should A&M care who Texas allows on their own sidelines

You just gotta let them do their thing. It won't matter and they don't win football games so who cares.
