If we fire him we’ll just hire another loser. Better to save the $12m and just ride this out, our fanbase will not give a shite regardless.

The university vetoed Freeze for the OC position so odds are we would not hire him as HC.

In reality, there’s not a single hire they could make that could reinvigorate the fanbase outside of someone like Urban Meyer. There was plenty of optimism going into this season and they could barely pull 80k for the season opener.

Realistically, what can they do? Fire the guy midseason in year 2, pay another buyout, start another clownshow coaching search & start over? The roots of the suckage at UT go much deeper than the current head coach.

They should have hired Mike Leach...What was the uproar about him being hired again?

Same here---which is kind of pathetic in itself.

I feel badly for older UTk fans but they seem to be resigned to their fate.

At the same time UTk is getting a massive karma kickback right now and has been for awhile. No end in sight.

Unless your Tennessee. Then you just lose them all.

It really is impressive. For all the resources and prestige that VOLS have, it’s remarkable that we’ve managed to make the wrong decision at every single juncture in the past 15 years.

Makes it very hard to support the program in any serious manner when deep down you know that whatever idiot who happens to be in charge at the time will undoubtably make the wrong decision.
