This. This is why I can’t stand most UGA fans. Kirby nor his staff are known for developing talent. Most, not all but most UGA players leave UGA with exactly the same strengths and weaknesses they entered with. And Kirby is not nor has not been known for his ability to coach in game. But somehow this is beyond the typical UGA fan. They run the same basic sets in with minor deviations and just keep feeding fresh bodies when other teams just can’t. Those 4-5* bodies 2-3 deep just out roster teams by wearing them down. No gameplaning, no brilliant scheme, just rotate 4-5 RBs and 6-7 OLine on the O and 6-7 guys on the DLine 3-4 at OLB and 5-6 DBs when teams wear down they stay fresh. The QB isn’t expected to do much, and you know you are going to bring in a full, talented class every year because it’s rare anyone stays 4 years between guys bailing, getting arrested, just wanting out. The system works great against weaker teams. A great coach can compensate and overcome but eventually runs out of ready bodies. But teams that recruit at a close level but develop their guys usually beat teams like UGA. And why it will take sustained luck for UGA to avoid those teams to win a championship.

Just tired of the ignorance. Roy Applebee/DjsDawg is just extra ignorant. Worst type of Dawg fan.

2019 and 2020 are the only times we’ve had this depth. Particularly on the D line. That exact formula is why no one ever ran the ball against Saban defenses. It’s a fricking strategy.

Florida was rushing for 170 years against us in 2018. Mizzou ran for 4 touchdowns in one game in 2018. Florida ran for 20 yards in 2019. A&M ran for 1 yard in 2019. It’s a strategy when you completely remove a team’s rushing game — you eliminate their play action, you force them to solely rely on passing and force them to be predictable, one dimensional, and off balanced the entire game. It’s why Saban has had massive success, and Kirby is no Saban but having quality depth is a major factor in being a consistently good program. And your current head coach is literally trying to replicate Kirby and Saban’s exact formula lol.

Vols haven’t fully recovered from Butch yet but separating from the other East teams... one step at a time

I think his formula had the Dawgs beating the spread.
His intuition thought the Dawgs win a close one.

I just watched his video on us and Tennessee, and i am pretty sure he said he predicted an Auburn win. Maybe I misunderstood, he and they guy he blogs with indicated they both picked Auburn and had crow to eat.

Know me, though, I am thinking of the wrong guys, though.

He did predict UGA over Tennessee, though.

Crap. It's a wonder we manage to win any games at all.

So, your theory is that when a kid leaves Georgia, he is no better than when he came to Georgia from high school, and Kirby can't coach?

So we are winning games with a bunch of high school level kids playing for a coach who can't coach on game day?

That's the case you are making?

You come on here and troll Georgia pretty much every day, then get mad when you are trolled back?

Too bad for you the list of lightly recruited 2-3 stars turned studs continues to grow which proves you wrong:

D Baker
T crowder
E stokes
J davis

Kirby is not nor has not been known for his ability to coach

Three straight seasons of lots of wins prove this wrong. Is 2020 four in a row? A guy that can’t coach doesn’t come close to that many wins. Depth and talent doesn’t mean much if it’s not coached up and developed.

I actually think it will be much closer than that. I have respect for what Pruitt has done and think Tennessee has come a long way. Big key is he has rebuilt your OLine and DLine. You have at least one solid LB that I know of. I really don't know a ton of who you guys have added beyond those, though.

Hilarious to see him trash his current coach like this. He didn’t even know he was doing it.

So TN didn’t score twice in the first half and miss a field goal too. And I just got done watching that game again on YouTube tell me again what starters were out during that drive.

Without punctuation, you were posting about the fumble return in the 4th quarter. Do better.

As for starters out, it was front 7 guys.
Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Malik Herring, and Monty Rice that were out.

Subs were Nolan Smith, Travon Walker, Michael Barnett, David Marshall, Julian Rochester, and Nakobe Dean. It looks like we kept a heavier package on the DL but moved some pass rushers back to ILB to accentuate the blitz (Jermaine Johnson). It looks like we rotated Divaad Wilson with nickel starter Mark Webb to keep fresh legs.

Pruitt is Kirby’s Super Bowl so there’s absolutely no chance he is looking ahead to Sabah

There’s backchannel rumblings that Big Jim already swept the cheetos dust off his secret Georgia playbook he specifically designed for Crompdaddy and has gifted it to young Geronimo tifwiw

We didnt have the linebacker play in 2018 that we did in 2017, 2019, and 2020. There was a dropoff from Roquan doing all the heavy lifting to what we have developed right now.

That's also why mobile QBs gave us so much trouble in 2018 (burrow, hurts, Frank's, & Locke). We gave up a ton of short yardage runs that season for 1st downs and TDs.

Talent is why UGA is favored to win. We're hardly bereft of talent but you're much deeper than we are. If it were pure coaching Pruitt would win hands down.
