Has anyone been buying more Dr Pepper since Ewers popped up in a tv commercial?
All of this is so ridiculous. None of these players have ANY NIL value but for the fact they play for X school on Saturdays...well, outside of Arch Manning and maybe Deion's kid just because of their families.
The present value is in the team jersey, ie the brand, not in their pretty faces no matter how good they are. I don't think any of these kids have sponsorships that are moving the needle economically for the companies paying for their name/image, outside of maybe the video game...if that.

While I agree with you, branding doesn't work that way for bigger companies like Dr. Pepper.
1) You remembered the ad.
2) You just reinforced the ad.
3) You mentioned the brand.
I'd say that one is working pretty good for Dr. Pepper.

He also said Quinn Ewers has a pretty face so obviously he doesn’t remember it that well.

Branding and advertising are not the same.

Are we sure that doesn't mean you have to pay more for your stripper to have all her teeth?

I love Arkansas, but if they try to slip this Fan Tax by the goalie, I hope we as fans counter with its time to purge the roster by 10-20%. There's your saved NIL money, Yurachek. Pay only for the best to be on campus.

We all don't need 100+ kids on the full roster in reality. Those 20-30 who are on the back end eat up measurable resources and money. The departments certainly aren't going to downsize or make cuts in salary or pay (they should). If they want to say it's a business, treat it like one. Cut fat.

So let me rephrase. As a sports fan I don’t care if the players succeed or fail as players.
Hope they get Jesus too. But football success? Don’t care anymore.

I don’t intend to ever return to BR for a game unless it’s a family thing.
I will never give another penny to LSU athletics. Not that they care about my past pittance.

What you are demanding is the NCAA is not free to set the standards and rules for themselves. As usual those who hate freedom do so out of fear of what others will do with their freedom.
As long as you ignore that, go frick yourself commie.
I'm the commie because I'm pointing out a universal truth.... that a man should be able to make money off his own name at any point. It is their property. Property rights are communist ideals now?

At no point has it ever been illegal for a NCAA player to make money off their name and image.
That's the universal truth you ignore.
You are a commie because you want to use the government to take away rights of people.
Do you even understand the NCAA is a private organization that is completely voluntary?

My love of CFB has definitely faded.
Part of that is growing up and the other is NIL.
I’m not paying $300 for a decent ticket to each game to watch these spoiled kids play like shite

Only reason Tenner is taking heat is because they were honest.
They could have just raised prices like everybody else.
And kept that mouth shut.
