And when it holds true this year it will be look at who he had around him at UCLA vs who Joey had at UT?

Or we could just compare this year's vol team to last.

It sounds like to me you are doing a tonne of mental gymnastics to excuse weak QB play. This style offense only works if you have a cerebral QB who can make rapid decisions and can hit the deep balls on defensive breakdowns. Neither Nico nor Milton could read a defense nor process things quickly enough to take full advantage.

My only complaint about Heupel so far is that he places way too much faith in raw talent and potential. He chose Mliton over Hooker because of this. I'm glad we are going with proven leadership over raw talent this year.

Maybe he'll bring some barbacoa to replace that nasty arse pulled pork.

Meh, we are still staring down eight wins with a QB change by November.

Gonna be exciting to see everyone on the Heup train absolutely losing their shite in two months.

Next year will be better year for Vols.

Gumps are very very worried about Heupel's presence in Knoxville. Don't let them fool you. They will be in full meltdown mode if we beat them in TrailerParkaloosa this year.

They'll be in full meltdown mode if pigs fly, too. Your last win there was 22 years ago. That's not 1998 bad, but it's pretty bad.

This is good stuff. A Bunch of fans of teams who Tennessee currently owns trying to down the Vols. Sooners, Gators, LSUhomos and Gumps should probably sit down and shut up

Make the playoffs, kid, and try to eke out a win against the Vols at home before running yer dikksucker. We own you all time, we have scoreboard, and the last time we played you we routed you in front of the home crowd

Neyland south down in BR is just another home game for us.

Nothing will change with Aguilar.

So we'll still beat Alabama and go to the playoffs? And we'll still own UF, Chokelahoma and LSU?

That will be a bit of disappointment, it's true. Our drought vs Georgia surely hurts. But for the rest of them? Those guys are all figs.

And that's why your QBs won't throw the ball.

We can rout Oklahoma without throwing a pass.

while you curse out your coach for going 8-5

Yer about to fire your shlt coach. You might want to sit this one out.

We beat Alabama no matter who our QB is. You might want to get used to that for the next twenty years or so.

The only thing Tennessee owns is 27 years of no titles of any kind.

Cam Ward has always had “it”.

In his 2 seasons prior to Wazzu at Incarnate Word he threw for 6900 yards and 71 TD’s.

And Ward's best season, by far, was at Miami. He took a major jump after leaving WSU.

We are 2-1 against them the past three years and have a chance this year to start a new winning steak against them.

Sunbelt Billy would have been fired a long long time ago in Knoxville.

Do Gator fans just not care about football anymore? Serious question.

No I think it’s because he identified and brought in not just Ward, but followed it with Mateer who has AA upside depending on how things shake out in Norman.

Ward wasn't an unknown commodity in the portal. He visited Ole Miss and a few other schools and threw for them. Kiffin decided to go with Dart instead.

Looks like a fine addition to Tennessee's recent QB lineage.

If we hadn't won a single thing in twenty five years that would be a great question.

Hey wait, I know a team like that!

He damn sure made an SEC Championship game before Tennessee did. Hell, 1998 is a dream season for Tennessee.
