Are these three former power houses done? Will they ever be relevant again, for any length of time at all?

Listen, SC has never been relevant ... part of the fun of endeavoring to get there is getting there. I mean we're used to not being relevant. It's kind of like if you've never had money you don't know what it's like but if you grew-up wealthy and then lost your money ... they say that is really hard on spoiled kids especially.

Tennessee and Michigan are kinda like old money ... but now they're poors. They're probably struggling internally, embarrassed to be around their old upper crust friends who are all, at the very least, maintaining or improving.

FSU was relatively new money ... kinda felt like they made their money in illegal enterprises and now it's all gone so it's probably not bothering them as much as Tennessee and Michigan fans.

Honestly, not one of those three programs are in a good place right now - all three appear to really be having issues that have lingered for quite some time with no end in sight.

It's a safe bet that Big Blue native son Harbaugh is fired after this season.

Tennessee, Pruitt and that Phat Phuck Phil Fulmer, unless they somehow manage to beat Florida, are already doubtful to even make a bowl.

And anyone who watched the game last night couldn't help but see more ominous signs for FSU ... they've got serious problems. Their only saving grace may be that they play in the A She She so their recovery may come sooner.

Michigan will catch no breaks in the B1G and Tennessee, poor Tennessee, every time it looks like they may finally at least get up on one knee ... they just keep getting knocked back down. They're suckin' dust and bleeding out of their ears right now, rhetorically speaking of course.

Seriously, it's starting to wear on Vol fans. They are getting dangerously close to giving-up. When old money goes broke it literally breaks their spirit ... should we worry?

FSU will be back one day. You don't recruit Florida like they do and get face fudged all the time.

Pruitt just got to Tennessee and I have no idea if he's a good head coach or not.

Michigan... they done though. Bury em face down cause no one wants to see that ugly mug anymore.

To early to tell for FSU but I suspect Tagg is gone in three years. They are the easiest to build back up though. Michigan is done. They just can't get the ship fixed for some reason. Tenn is...fricked

FSU absolutely will be back, if only due to access to top players.

I’ve never given less of a shite about VOLS to be honest. Of course I will drink cold beer and watch on saturdays because I’m a good Christian, but I have no real expectations.

I kinda hope it goes terribly for good internet. It would also be cool if Pruitt irl punches someone.

Also, I think this team looks better after a few games even though VOLS are gonna take several arse beatings this year.

Did FSU win a national championship 5 years ago or am I taking crazy pills?

Jimmy is 1-5 against Michigan State and Ohio State. That stings more than a loss at home to App State.

Michigan and TN are done.

FSU will be fine.

Another one to put in the “finished” category is Nebraska

Frost will kick arse because he is a good coach there but they won't be like the 90s teams of old. Perhaps a NY6 bowl here and there.

FSU can still be elite.

Michigan cant figure it out under Harbaugh, they are done.

UT has been done for a long time.

FSU - I thought that Willie Taggart was a great coach but then he went to Oregon and couldn't win with a power program in a relatively weak conference. I have no idea why FSU went after that guy at that point. They looked dead last night. They have the weapons to compete but the wheels fell off the wagon last night. Even if they are abysmal, they won't be able to get rid of Taggart after this year so they are looking at years of this.

UT - They were sloppy and unprepared. Contrast that with the other new coaches and you'll see that there is trouble on Rocky Top.

Michigan - Ole Miss fans knew that Patterson was not the savior that he was made out to be. Way too much stock was put into a QB that doesn't know how to check down on receivers, will rocket arm a 10 yard pass incomplete, and will decide to run when it is not the best time to do so. The guy gets easily shaken and makes poor mistakes. Harbaugh has also been a big letdown for that team.

Hate to break it to you, but SC still isn't relevant.

I think Harbaugh's undoing at Michigan will be like Miles's at LSU: wins the games he should but can't get over the hump in the big ones.

It's too soon to tell about both Pruitt and Taggart. I think FSU will come back much easier than Tennessee. As far as what's going on with the creamsicles? I have no idea. They've been irrelevant for almost 20 years now and have gone through how many coaches? Just when you think they will make progress, they up and stink it up again.

Pruitt may be the man to do it, but rebuilding Tennessee won't happen overnight. It's systemic at this point.

I have nearly mailed it all the way in. A buddy of mine and I were talking last week and we both agreed that we'd rather see the Braves win a single regular season game on Saturday than VOLS. Something I could never have imagined even a couple years ago

I flipped the Braves game on when the Tennessee/WVU game was 20-7 in the 3rd and never flipped back. Just kept up with it periodically on twitter/texts.

I used to be able to name every scholarship player on the roster and attend 10+ games a year. I can probably name you about 35 this year and likely won't go to a single game.

If we can ever become competitive again I'm sure my interest level will pick up some but I found myself almost cheering for us to be blown out early Saturday for entertainment/meltdown purposes.
