low IQ take. no one predicted ole miss or mississippi state in the 2 years before. baseball is the only sport where a Stony Brook can take a game from a blueblood like LSU. it has a tremendous amount of luck involved and that actually makes LSU's run last year more impressive.

You should worry about the Gamecock board.this is the “SEC Rant”. Tennessee is in the SEC, in fact they are the part of the reason the SEC exist today. So I’ll talk about Tennessee baseball on the rant. If you don’t want to read about Tennessee baseball, then don’t open it.
SC has hardware in college baseball. Owns numerous records in Omaha. Carolina fans understand what a national title contender looks like. Know your place.

Imagine coming to the rant to get reassurance that Vitello is a good coach.
Not getting assurances or asking, just stating the obvious. Vitello is easily top 3 in the league. Could Lemonis, Bianco, Johnson or even Corbin turned UT around like Vitello has? I also think Corbin is a good coach based on the rules he has been able to play by compared to state universities. NIL has even the field out a little and now Corbin doesn’t seem so great over the last 3 years.
But one thing is clear, he is better than the Bama coach and the prior scumbag that bet on his team from Bama.

This where your logic fails You are just assuming Vols will do it. Vols may never make Omaha again for all we know.
I can guarantee you that Vitello is not done making Omaha. And if he stays at Tennessee his entire career, he will win multiple national titles. He has totally flipped a dead program into a contender in less than 4 years when he took over. And I will put money on that.
Tennessee baseball situation was totally different than what PM took over, and what Johnson took over. Vitello has all of sudden turned Tennessee into a contender, and is an elite recruiter.
Vitello recruiting ranks:
2018- #6 (1st season)
2019- #9
2020- #6 (COVID year)
2021- #5
2022- #6
2023- #4
2024- #2
2025- #4
2026- #3
To be recruiting like this at a “non baseball power” like LSU is pretty impressive. Vitello is a winner and will pass every coach currently in the SEC while at Tennessee.

Again, this is a Tennessee board, and no one gives a frick about an expansion team that ran from Clemson to the SEC.

Didn't say it was. I said it was hard to predict. Variance doesn't equal luck (or the lack of it)

Vitello is the first SEC HC who was ejected & subsequently suspended for shoving an umpire.
Obviously you didn’t watch Tennessee baseball closely as some of us has, and their was prior history from the what prior between Vitello and that Ump he “bumped”. But none the less the ump was over dramatic and flopped like Lebron does on the court. That ump is 60 pounds bigger than Vitello and he acted like Vitello just man handled him.

First SEC HC to have one of his players ejected for dog cursing an umpire, using the "F" word in the process.
This did not happen. Yes Gilbert was ejected, but he did not dog cuss anyone. I actually was at the game live and seen it from the front row. I also watched the replay of it once I got home, and he never approached the Ump. He actually said “you gotta be fricking kidding me” and the soft as ump threw him out.

I mean frick Vitello, but if you think he is the first SEC coach to have a player get ejected for saying frick to an umpire, I have some beach front property in Kentucky to show you.

Has he killed someone? Has he committed sexual assault? What about covering up crimes committed by his players? By all accounts, kids love playing for him, and he is very competitive. I would think the fans that don’t like him, would love him if he was their coach.

LSU, SC and Vandy fans have had runs and streaks and led the nations in wins over longer periods of times on more than one occasion.
Know what the difference is?
We actually brought multiple National Championships home for The Conference.
How many titles have the Base Vols brought home?
All the blah blah you posted is for naught. Win it all in Omaha and then it means something.

Hard to compare Vitello FIRST 6 years of his career to Johnson LAST 3 years of his career at LSU. As a HC, Vitello is doing just as good if not better at this time in his career as anyone else in the SEC their first 6 years.
Meh.
Jay Johnson appeared in the CWS final in his third season, first at Arizona.
Vitello has yet to do that.

Same number of wins that matter as Kentucky

Corbin is a great coach by any measure, among the best in the country. 20 wins in Omaha is by far the most of any active SEC coach. As you know, Omaha wins don’t just fall out of trees. Vanderbilt was 1 win away from their 3rd title less than 3 years ago and was a national seed last year despite losing their top 2 starters to injury late in the year.

You need to come to Baton Rouge and take a peek at the billboard called “the Intimidator” inside our baseball field. We have won Natty’s with 3 different coaches at the helm, in the not so distant past. One being a legend. And guess what? We did it in football too????!

The intimidator is a dead NASCAR driver. Why do you have a NASCAR billboard at your park?

I would be hesitant to criticize anyone else's baseball stadium. Ya'll play in the biggest shite hole in the conference.
