Vegas knows what they’re doing. Tennesee hasn’t played a good team away this season

Streaks are made to be broken. Didn't Alabama just break one for y'all?

This feels like one of those lines that everyone thinks is ridiculous, then Nico throws a pick six late and it hits or something.

Just looking at the matchup I think we will be able to pressure Beck more than anyone else has thus far, and he hasn't responded well when pressured.

Obviously this will be the best defense Nico has faced, and he hasn't exactly lit it up. But he had his best game of the season on Saturday, and I think if he can gain some more confidence against Miss St that could go a long way. I don't think Heupel's offense gives the QB enough easy throws. You can't ask your QB to hit NFL throws with every completion even if he is capable of it.

My line would be something like UGA -7 or 8. I think both of these defenses are too good and the offenses too shaky for either side to blast the other by 20 or something. But Vegas is good at what they do, so we will see

Has anyone noticed that Tenner defense has only given up 99 points this season?

That's low, my friends. Not sure why we all want to count Tenner out.

agree! And we are just around the corner from breaking UT's 9-game win streak record in the series.

We have several guys on the DL that could be starters who are rotation guys. at LB and DB we are more thin but the guys who are back ups are at least talented if not experienced, which hasn't been the case at Tennessee for a long time.

Getting pressure with 3 or 4 guys is the best predictor for success on defense, and we can do that.

Didn't Tennessee lose an away game against Arkansas?

Tough to complain against the history.

Does seem a little high, though. Oh well, is what it is, and we got Miss State coming up Saturday in Neyland, first.

Will cry about it this Sunday morning.

Next lost might come from Vandy! For sure that will be an interesting game.

I think it’s a little high. I think we have a chance if we can avoid catastrophic mistakes. Problem is Georgia is a whole different animal when they are focused and playing a team that they perceive to be a threat. I fear we’ve not seen Georgia’s best yet. I won’t be betting this one

Many in this thread saying the spread is too high are focused on UGA not looking polished on offense.

But UGA is averaging 31 points on offense against SEC opponents compared to 23 for Tennessee. The Tennessee offense has been even worse this year.

UGA also only has a total of 2 turnovers in home games this season (vs 10 away from home)

I think UGA wins by 10-14 at home. So it's a bit high, but not that much.

At home, Beck has gone:

75% completion, 459 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT vs MSU
79% completion, 240 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT vs AU
72% completion, 242 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT vs Tennessee Tech

On the road, Nico has gone

58% completion, 158 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT vs Arkansas
62% completion, 194 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 2 fumbles vs OU

After all that ole miss hype last year and the beating UGA laid on them it sounds low to me.
