Complete opposite.
I want Tennessee to get in a serious bidding war with Arkansas considering they have real financial troubles coming from the AD.

You can compete all you want, but in the end Tennessee is still a better job than Arkansas. I'm being 100 percent objective here too.

But Tennessee has a large, passionate fanbase. No matter the cost, you have to expect they'll make a great hire. They will excite the masses and jumpstart the cash flow. Alabama wasn't in that bad of shape in 2007, but it still has tripled its worth since 2007.

In history nothing else. If you remove the history Arkansas and Tennessee are mirrors images of each other.
Tradition is over rated because if Nick Saban coached at South Carolina, no tradition but are building some, they would win titles over Alabama.

Tennessee History vs Arkansas Money
If you think the University of Tennessee doesn't have money, you need your head examined.

I'm sure he is more concerned about finding a HC for the browns than blowing money on the losing prospect that is Tennessee football.
Wrong Jim. Jimmy, Jim Haslam's son, owns the Browns.

Currently, I don't think UT and Arkansas are competing for the same coach. So it doesn't matter.

Never said they didn't but they currently produce less revenue and less billionaire donors.
Arkansas has come to pay, if Jeff pulls trigger. It will be fun to see how it shakes out.
... which was before we moved up to #6 last year.

Arkansas made bad hires under Broyles at the end and Jeff Long hires have been solid.
Tennessee went on the cheap with Dooley and now we know why.. Cash poor. Why won't history repeat itself when last month their AD said they have a serious problem?

This can totally be true. We'd prefer coach who likes the Mid-South (Ark, LA, MS) and will go into Texas... or so I hope.

The reserve shouldn't have anything to do with the booster revenue. Also, debt by such institutions can be consolidated and adjusted over a period of time. Not to mention, increase in conference distributions will help a good bit.
They had a $4 million deficit. It really isn't the end of the world.

Tennessess needs to put their resources into what they're good at: women's basketball.
