Okie St had Bama on EVERYTHING except Bama had a "better loss".
That counts for a lot, I think. What adds to that argument is that Oklahoma State lost in week 12. That was a killer... A late loss to a bad team. Meanwhile, Alabama is running through the rest of its schedule - with its only loss coming at the hands of the greatest LSU team of all time.

That was before they destroyed Oklahoma by 5 TDs.

Want to know how I know you can't read? You weren't running an offensive play with 3rd & Goal and 2 seconds left in the half. You had 1st & Goal from the 2 and you couldn't punch it in. That's a stop.
Possibly the worst attempt at a cover up I have seen. Here's what you said:
quote:
We stuffed your offense and forced you to kick a field goal.
I said, LSU ran out of time and had to kick a FG before half. I proved that by showing LSU kicked a FG on 3rd down. You keep missing the down I think

Never once in the bcs has BETTER LOSS been used over a far better résumé. If it had been used then Ohio St would've played Michigan in 06 when Michigan's loss was only to OSU in OT.

I think that's what you guys forget or try to ostrich away from; nobody is denying Bama beat LSU the second chance they got.
Really, all I'm saying is that looking back - nobody cares that we got a second chance, due to the way we won that game. Had it been close, I'd agree with you and it would have been far less fulfilling. 1/9 served as vindication, and I think soothed the doubts of people around the country who were calling foul. From 1/9 onward, nobody cares that we got a mulligan - except for LSU, Auburn, and Oklahoma State.

But here you are, trying to insult a great LSU team instead of giving them their deserved props.
Nope. One of the greatest teams I've ever seen play in person. Easily a top 5 team of the last 15 years or so, IMO.

And never once had "we're undefeated in regulation" been used as a reason to play in the title game until 07.

The 08 UF team post-Ole Miss was the best team I've ever seen, all bias aside.
Idk... I've watched all the games from the 96 season, and that team was just as good.
Maybe a worser secondary than the 08 and 06 teams, but that front 7 was pretty nasty.
Also, Wuerffel, Hilliard, Taylor, Green, Anthony, Casey, Jackson, Kareem...
That offense was loaded.

Yes he did. He just wasn't on TV like Saban. He said he said that because they hadnt won the conference yet.

If LSU's resume was being compared to a team that lost to a 6-6 team in week 12, then frick yes.

Had same record as Auburn, who they LOST to head-to-head, who also beat NCs Florida, who LSU also lost to.... So '06 Auburn should be on the list, not '06 LSU
It seems LSU fans always forget about AU and what happened in 2006. We were 2nd in the west they were 3rd. Our 06 team was loaded and fricked up royally against Arky and UGA. We should of been playing for the sec championship from 04-06 had John Vaughn not missed 5 FGs at LSU and get raped by Arky at home..

I had forgotten about that. Miles did pretty much the same championship campaign in 2007 that Saban did in 2011.
