LSU did win a title four years ago. I guess that's why he went down to three after he started at five.

LSU did win a title four years ago.
1. Lots of noobs and/or no jewelry coaches at their respective schools
2. OU's recruiting is below UA/UGA, but at the top half of the conference.
So why can't OU compete right away again?

Oklahoma has played in a 2nd tier conference for 20 years & has a record padded by cupcakes. OU has a real path to 5 losses this year.
Explain why y'all love Texas for this year. Check out their 20 years in a 2nd tier conference. Check out how they fared over those 20 odd years against OU. Check out how OU beat them last season.

A fun thing to do is list the teams who most recently won national titles.
1 - Michigan
2 - UGA
3 - Alabama
4 - LSU
5 - Clemson
3 of the 5 most recent are SEC teams
6 - OSU
7 - FSU
8 - Auburn
9 - UF
10 - Texas
Two more SEC teams before you get to SEC newcomer Texas as the team with the 10th most recent title.
11 - USC
12 - Miami
13 - OU
14 - Tennessee
15 - Nebraska.
This takes us all the way back to Nebraska's shared title in 1997. OU breaks onto the list here, along with the 6th "old school" SEC team in Tennessee.
For kicks, the rest of the teams with the most recent titles up to 25
16 - Washington
17 - Georgia Tech (I'm serious... Georgia Tech)
18 - Notre Dame
19 - PSU
20 - BYU
21 - Pitt
22 - Michigan State
23 - Arkansas
24 - Minnesota
25 - Syracuse.
This takes us back to 1959.
The reality... OU is more like Tennessee than Auburn or UF.
Texas is more like UF than LSU.

UGA, Bama, LSU, Auburn, UF and Tennessee (the "big 6") either have titles more recent than OU and Texas or around the same time
The vast majority of posters on this thread obviously did not listen to what Teddy Lehman actually said. Rather, you jumped in and defended the SEC for its accomplishments.
Teddy acknowledged and gave full credit to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and LSU for winning national championships since 2000.
He then went on to say that Saban, Urban, Chizik, and Ogeron are no longer coaching in the SEC.
The only coach of a SEC national championship team that is still coaching this upcoming season is Kirby Smart.
And then he said, no other SEC coach for the upcoming season has won a national championship before.
Where is the big lie?
He then went on to say that recruiting by Venables has been in the top 10 nationally and much stronger on the defensive side of the roster. He also stated that OU has been one of the highest revenue generating programs in the nation for many years and one of the few that consistently had a profit at year end without relying on student fees for athletic support.
He summarized by saying that the schedule will be a definite upgrade from the Big XII but Oklahoma is not going to crash and burn, like OU fans have been told, since we announced movement to the SEC.

You continue you ignore the fact that OU has had turnover in the same time frame he listed as well as doing the same things as the Sec schools he mentioned but in a weaker conference.

ll the negative stuff is based on projection by writers and fans of SEC schools that haven't done anything beyond Bama/UGA of which OU DOESN'T play one of them. Perhaps fans/writers of schools not named Bama/UGA ought to simmer their azzes down a bit.
The last time we played you we put a beat down on you that was the most embarrassing thing anyone ever saw in the playoffs.
Maybe you should simmer your azzes down a bit.
We'll play the games and then you'll know.
This is not the Big 12 kids. And if you think this league is just 2 teams you are about to be in for a shock because one thing has always been true about this league, anybody can take you out on any given Saturday. Happens all the time. You're gonna hate it just like everyone else.

Was that supposed to be a roast? Yeah, UK is a basketball school. OU is a football school. Just how it is. Oklahoma is boring, so I have no care to watch their famous moments.

I live in southern Kentucky near the TN line. Ain't no skyline chili for miles around me. No one eats skyline chili in KY, except for those 3 counties near Cincy. Which is just Ohio.
