Per Schefter:
quote:

Tim Tebow recently reached out to the Jaguars and requested a tryout at the tight end position, per sources, a move many believe would have extended his NFL career had he made the transition earlier. He recently worked out with the Jaguars’ TE coach. No decision has been made.

Urban should do it. It would be a PR move, but would sell a lot of tickets.

A little too late, I'm sure there are guys just as athletic who have actually been playing the position their whole careers that would be better

Yup. If he had done it out of college he might have been really, really good.

Jamarcus Russell should have done the same.

It would create a lot of excitement for the Jags... he'd play for the league minimum...if he's halfway good they should do it.

You know I watched Tebow's old team, of which he started and won a playoff game, and actually threw the winning td pass, the Bronocs play a game with a wr receiver at qb in 2020. Bet they wished they had him for that game.

He could probably still play QB somewhat decently. Maybe even be a 2nd or 3rd string QB. He could run a specialty package. The league has changed to be more Tebow-friendly. I’d put him on the roster and figure out someway to use him, or develop him. There’s no downside

I was just thinking I have really missed the hell out of hearing the media talk about Tebow and Urban. Maybe they will throw something in there about him and riley cooper being roommates 15 years ago.

That’s what he should have played all along. He was basically a huge H-back at QB. Wouldn’t have a Heisman but he’d probably still be playing in the NFL.

The ESPN ticker used to put on The Lead that "Tim Tebow remains unsigned."
