Do we have any from Rosenblatt b/c LSU hit some bombs out of that park?

It’s painfully clear you had to transfer into UTrans, if you even went, like the thousands of UTranny alumni who got worthless Liberal Arts degrees from a university infested with homeless heroin addicts

Dan McDonnell truly has built our program from absolutely nothing to a regular in Omaha

I'm surprised to not see any LSU players on this list. They had some mashers in the 90s.
This is only Ameritrade field or whatever they call it. If Rosenblatt was included I think Pete Incovilla (sp?) would be on the list they say he pretty much hit the highway behind left field. Joey Belle also hit a bomb off Rice's best reliever that would be top 10 and I personally think the longest ball I have ever seen was Lyle Mouton against Florida.

I feel pretty good about that, other than we lost to Carolina in the finals
I will take that and feel pretty good about it

As you should!

Both Florida and Vandy had stacked teams that year. Carolina was gritty and y'all had that damn lefty pitcher who was nails.

I had completely forgotten Pete Incaviglia. I remember that hit. 84 or 85 I think. If I recall ok state made the cws in 3 or 4 straight cws with Pete?

There's no need or reason for me to insult you.

What’s up?
Did those longest home runs score more runs than a shorter home run

All of those lists will continue to change
The SEC is now dominating
And many of the programs that were dominating a hundred years ago
Are fading away, not to win anymore

I actually feel bad for FSU

12 titles in 21 appearances is crazy efficient for that high of a number of visits.
College baseball was a totally different animal back then. It's a different sport altogether. It's SOOO much more competitive now. These are their titles:
1958 National Championship
1961 National Championship
1963 National Championship
1968 National Championship
1970 National Championship
1971 National Championship
1972 National Championship
1973 National Championship
1974 National Championship
1978 National Championship
The CWS used to be a single, 8 team, double elimination tournament, that sometimes required 5 games in 6 days. The premium was always on pitching, a deep PITCHING STAFF, not just 2 starters, and surprise surprise, the University of Southern F*cking California dominated the sport.
And then, air conditioning came to the south, and people started living here, on purpose.
Now, it is a made for TV tournament, with two, 4 team tournaments, with a day of rest in between, and a 2 out of 3 final. A team with 2 stud starters and a couple of relievers can win the tournament.

They did, that's how UF got to 20+ runs vs LSU in game 2. Had LSU hit their home runs a little farther, they may have gotten to 20+ in game 3.

Van Horn and Johnson both have 11 wins. One is going to make it a race after this year.

Taking baseball seriously, what a joke. That’s on your AD if you didn’t take baseball seriously, what an excuse. And even with your math Texas has about the same % of visits to Omaha as a program (every other year) vs LSU but accounting for a much larger time period (since we are not making excuses as not taking baseball seriously). LSU you are better than that
You are absolutely right. It’s not fair to not count the entire history of baseball from the first game in 1859.
Oh look at that LSU still has more championships than Texas.
