They beat Alabama before Alabama really found an identity, and they beat an MSU team that didn't show up to play.
I'm not taking anything away from the OM season. I just think the resume gave Ole Miss a ranking that put them in a matchup they don't belong in. With Bo playing well and with the defense at its peak and with Treadwell they were a formidable team.
None of those are present.

No doubt TCU is out to prove a point today. I fully believe Bama will steamroll tOSU and the committee will come under scrutiny for bumping TCU.

Committee took easy path. Baylor and TCU are both better than FSU and OSU. But the committee would have been blasted if they had left out undefeated defending champs. OSU was the easy answer to the Baylor TCU question. once all the games were played and they had 1 spot for those 3 teams, it was obvious who they would go with. Which is a damn shame because the ACTUAL teams aren't close. OSU would get eaten alive by either.

You are assuming that TCU is better than others in the playoff but are not considering that the SEC may just be a little overrated. The fact that this Ole Miss team was once considered #1 in the nation is pathetic. They look slow and lost.
