You never said it had to be relevant discussion.

I want to talk more about your guitar expertise.

Question-

During Gilmore's ABITW solo, studio version, which of the three positions on the pickup selector switch do you think he is using on his stratocaster? And for bonus points, which position is he using for the live version released on the Pulse box set in 1995?

I don’t know the answer to your question, but if you’re being serious, I’d love to know the answer and how you came upon this information.

I don’t own a Strat (I like Teles personally) but I wouldn’t mind getting one someday with some DG EMGs. His live sound is as smooth as butter.

You are half right! I'm impressed.

Firstly, it was a trick question. There are 5 settings, not 3. And he's using the 5th setting.

On Pulse, he's using his DG EMG's, not the stratocaster stock, so another trick question.

Hah! I didn’t even catch that detail.

I was also not aware that he didn’t use his EMGs in the studio. Any reasoning behind that, or is it just the fact that he didn’t design his own pickups until after that album was released?

Meh, it was meant in jest. My wife is a Georgia girl and her whole family is full of UGA fans. They all apparently have thicker skin than some people here.

out of curiosity....you said your wife is from Georgia and her family is here....if you don't mind, where are they? I mean, what city/town do they live in? I've lived in 3-4 different Georgia cities/towns and I am always curious.

I didn't watch the game but I think they need to start and play Starkel the rest of the season and have packages for Mond.

Most of them are in Albany, but they’re spread out from Albany, to Edison, Ft Gaines, Valdosta, and Warner Robbins. WR is definitely my favorite of those places to visit!

Warner Robbins/Macon isn't bad.

I lived up in North Georgia for awhile...Griffin for a bit...and my parents were down in Eastman for awhile.
I wasn't ever in the areas you have people from.
