Again: You've obviously been following college football for about 15 minutes, and this comment is only further proof of that.

Alabama dominated Tennessee in every aspect of a game that Tennessee managed to keep close for a while...and somehow the fact that Alabama has better personnel means that Saban was outcoached?

That isn't even a remotely intelligent thought.

Is Heupel still gonna have guys taking dives to slow up the no huddle? Is he still gonna take his fat arse on the field trying to get a free time out to instigate a review on questionable calls? Is he still gonna whine like a bitch if things don’t go his way?

The point Your trying to make is flawed in so many ways. There will never be a level playing field on both sides of the ball, personnel wise. Because you know, recruiting and getting the right players to run your scheme efficiently are a pretty big part of the job as a college coach.

Who wins if you trade all those Butch coached teams with the Saban teams that dominated Butch by virtually similar margins every year?

Damn goyz, Butch out coached Saban every year too!

Will 100% bookmark this post to bump every year after a gump win.

Vols are 1-29 combined against Bama and UF the past 15 seasons.

LOL.....Saban and Bama have broken 10RC.

The plays were there all season, the players just are not able to execute. Bama has the opposite problem. The play calling on both sides has been shat but good players overcome. Bama has an elite roster with a meh staff.

my thought exercise

You're not capable of rational thought when it comes to football. Seriously...it's obvious that you're utterly clueless about the topic. Everyone else in this thread sees that. It's not just me.

Give it up. You're embarassing yourself.

Bama has three nfl head coaches on their staff - I’ll hang with them

If you want to get into hypotheticals then you need to take into account so many other variables that no one could predict so your little thought exercise is stupid

The game I watched last night the better coaching was from the Tennessee sideline. And if you weren't a homer, you would see that

Quite the debate strategy.

"I'm neutral (or so you say), so my POV has more value. If you disagree, you are a homer."

Also I would say any game plan that let's your TOP get so lopsided you have to start faking injuries on your defense just to give them a breather because they are so gassed, is an EPIC fail on the coaching staff

If outcoached is the same as repeatedly shooting ourselves in the foot to allow a team to be in a game that they were being totally dominated then sure

I think there have always been X’s and O’s guys that are better than Saban, but I also think that culture, discipline, and motivation are more important inside a CFB program. It takes a special kind of talent to manage a roster of NFL players and get them to stay focused week in and week out. Nobody does that like Saban.

You still haven’t explained how a team that ran 54 plays compared to 92, were out gained by 230 yds and beaten by 4 TDs outcoached its opponent.

Yea I agree with that. His genius belongs in CFB, but that doesn’t make it any less genius.

You've got to be an LSU fan with that type of emotional attachment to watch a game like last night only to come up with these "gotcha" Saban was outcoached posts. It takes a certain type of commitment to watch a team that isn't even your favorite team with that type of intensity and scrutiny

The Talkin’ Vawls threesome are idiots. One even has the name “Boogie.” They are all totally in denial what a pathetic program Tennessee has become. Before the season began, they were saying that Tennessee would go 9-3 at a minimum.

As for last night’s game, Tennessee was averaging 250 yards a game rushing. Alabama held them to 64 yards rushing. Tennessee was also held way below their points per game average. It sounds like to me that Tennessee got schooled last night.

Superior coaching would have called better plays offensively & not gone 2 for 13 on 3rd down, or allowed their opponent to convert 15 of 20 3rd downs. But sure, better coaching on both sides of the ball …
