Sweet 16 Stats and Graphs

Oregon/SC is going to be an awesome game.

I still think Colorado might have been the best team out of them all, but FSU was a horrible matchup for them. UCLA/Bama should be a tremendous game to watch, as well. I like Bama covering the spread in the end, though.

The conference breakdown for Sweet 16 teams is pretty hilarious.

Loyola Chicago was my pick to go to the final four

Arkansas and Loyola would probably be my picks - Arkansas/Baylor and Alabama/Michigan or FSU would be toss ups or SEC teams slight dogs in my mind - Arkansas/ORU is a layup and I agree re: Loyola/Oregon State too.

Also agree re: Gonzaga/Baylor holding off till the FF.

Congrats on still being alive, that is impressive.

I would go Arkansas. This is the last time we will be favored.

Also that 3pt chart is not what I would have expected from us if we made it to the s16. We haven't had a good shooting game since SCar. We are due.

Unfortunately Arkansas and Loyola play on the same day. Can only pick one.

I need to think big picture. If I pick Alabama and Loyola and all the top seeds win:

Monday:

#1 Baylor vs #3 Arkansas
#8 Loyola vs #2 Houston

Tuesday:

#1 Gonzaga vs #6 USC
#1 Michigan vs #2 Alabama

I think the only way to set it up for the future is to pick USC and Arkansas this week. Otherwise it won't work. I wished I had planned this out better and took a long look at the bracket.

Hopefully it would go like this

Saturday pick: Arkansas over Oral
Sunday Pick: USC over Oregon
Monday Pick: Loyola over Houston
Tuesday pick: Alabama over Michigan
Final 4 pick: Baylor over Loyola
Championship: Gonzaga over Baylor

It sucks, but that's what I'll have to do. If I pick Loyola on Saturday I'll have to pick Arkansas or Baylor in the elite 8 since I've already used Houston and Loyola. Which means I can't pick anything on the right side of the final 4 since I would've used both teams no matter what happens. So I'll be forced to pick Gonzaga, which would leave me with no possible championship pick.

My brain hurts. Just gotta go with what's above.

This is a lot tougher than NFL survivor. In NFL survivor the number of games to pick from doesn't decrease every week.

It just won't work if I pick those two:

Monday:

Arkansas vs Baylor
Gonzaga vs USC

Tuesday:

Alabama vs Michigan
Loyola vs Houston

I'd be forced to pick Baylor on Monday and Loyola on Tuesday.

Then I'd get:

Baylor vs Loyola
Alabama vs Gonzaga

I'd be forced to pick Gonzaga, then I wouldn't be able to make a championship pick.

Loyola over Oregon State would be my pick for Saturday. Then I would use Michigan on Sunday. I think they win that game, and then Bama beats them.

So then you'd go Syracuse on Monday, and Bama on Tuesday.

If you reach the Final Four, you'd just have to pick the winner correctly between Gonzaga and Baylor.


ETA: Nvm... you've already picked Michigan. You're in trouble.

You're going to have to save Bama to pick over Michigan, so I guess you're just going to have to accurately predict the winner of Oregon and SC. Good luck with that.
