It would be agressive shot but could have good upside

Aranda and elko are the two best defensive coordinators, I have no idea why either hasn’t gotten the call.

Is the knock recruiting? Or just the total shift to offense?

Aranda doesn't seem like a hot commodity. Doesn't get many looks at power 5 job openings.

No one wants a middle of the pack DC.

I think Aranda is going to be excellent head coach

Agreed not the sexy pick

The fact that Cohen isn’t considering Mike Leach is ridiculous. Between the Andy Cannizzaro debacle and his handling of Moorehead, I’m shocked he is being allowed to make this decision.

Matt Wyatt was on a local station earlier this week and scoffed at the idea that State needed a guy like Leach to out-scheme the other SEC coaches. I had no idea State fans were so delusional.

Lots of folks thought Orgeron was the most effed up thing LSU could ever have done in hiring a HC as well. Iyt's paid off pretty well so far though.

I would like to keep Aranda at LSU for the time being, but he has made it known that he would indeed like to be a head coach somewhere. As much as I'd hate to lose him, Mississippi State wouldn't be a bad place for him to start. But still, I'd prefer to keep him in Baton Rouge.

Aranda’s defense is water trash. He gave up 400 yards to our 4-8 freshman backfield. The glitz and appeal of Aranda is no more.

Arguably Merlin's is more Leach like then conventional

Not sure MSU can out spend WSU - they actually pay Leach pretty well

Short sided

We all trashed Kevin Steele as well

Agreed

Underrated now that our offense puts so much pressure on him

Aranda may be happy right where he is at.....and he is making a bunch of moolah to do what he does.

I do find it odd that he hasn't gotten a job yet. I'm sure he's picky (as he should be) but I wonder if he just doesn't interview well or something.

On paper he seems like a no brainier for big mid majors or small P5s

We were always unsure what he wanted next, but this year flirtation sounds like he wants to be a Head Coach vs pro coordinator

I think he seems low key doesn't look like a leader maybe

I honestly think he is going to be a great HC

The highlight of Old Piss’ season is LSU giving up worthless yards to their dwarf of a QB after shitting on them for the majority of the game.

Print the cups.

You don’t know that they haven’t.
Not all communication is public—even in the insta-age.
He may have politely declined; end of story.

True

It appears they are a little disorganized right now

That seems to be the only issue.
